has anyone seen any aluminium watch strap adapters or ones that match the sports watch? I've only seen them on preorder.

My spring pin black 42mm adapters arrived today from the freedomoclock aka the Utica guys.

I should say first that personally I fall into the spring pin camp. The screw bar apdaptors are nice, but the pin is so easy to change and I like the "pronged" look of the pin adapters more than the curve of the screw bar adapters.

Ok, so pros/cons:

Pros:

- the adapters are a much nicer fit than the two pair of screw bar adapters I have. These pin adapters do not wiggle any more than my black sport band.

- 24mm bands fit perfect. They all look like they were made for the watch.

-the pins are very nice and getting a band on is simple. A very reassuring click when the second side of the pin locks. They feel very secure. An extra pin and the hand tool also came with the package.

Cons:

-they do not match the space gray sport and are buffed/glossy on the sides. If you have a space black SS, I think these would look like a very close match.

Overall, I'm really happy with these. There has not been a single adapter that matches the SGS yet, so the color doesn't bother me at all. They match the glass bezel so it still looks stylish.

NO MORE STRIPPED SCREWS, WOOHOO!!!

Here are a couple quick pics with my gray nylon band from CWS:

Looks great- can you show pics of the band's clasp?
How's the CWS quality and why didn't you buy the band from them with the adapters included?

The clasp is just regular SS. I got the band before they started selling them with adapters. I think you can still get this one under the 24mm section for $9. It's two layers of nylon though the whole band. Pretty nice for $9. The pic of it on their site doe

Those are good bands. I have a red one with pvd black loops I got on eBay. It's nice but a little rough at first and needed to be broken in. They are a good value with the adapters built in and free shipping.

Google for coupons too, they usually have coupon codes.

Hunting for fully polished SS 'lug & pin style' adapters for my SS AW. Does anyone have any idea where I can find these elusive adapters?

Sending back 2 adapters from 'Utica' guy on ebay. totally fallen apart. I mentioned this in a previous post and how they would not replace..... till i opened a paypal dispute. Now things are moving along as they should have.

And regular adapters from 'Inkoo' NJ seller on ebay sent me 5 sets today for a 42mm watch, 1 set came today with what looks like 1 x 42mm and 1 x 38mm. Useless. But the quality is much better from the several i purchased over a month ago. I would say these are almost identical to the mirror chrome finish ClockworkSynergy are supplying with straps.

As I stated earlier, I ordered from the inkooo guy too. They actually ship from China and then are reshipped from here in NJ. However their customer service was great, offered good communication and even sent me a free replacement for something that was my mistake. I recommend buying from them too.

I Really like the look of those top ones. Anyone know of similar ones else where? I think they fit the look for band to watch better than the Clockwork one I just got. (But in black maybe..)

The only thing i hate about the Inkoo seller is the really long shipping times, and no tracking number, so have to keep checking the mailbox everyday until it arrives. Takes about 10 business days. Utica seller is shipping faster, has a tracking number but quality and service is hit and miss now. I also see he's reduced the price of the springbar version to 15.99. Although there are other US sellers undercutting him by more than 4 dollars.

Adapters from Watch Shoppe. Definitely a great buy. Fitting is perfect, no movement at all and it matches the SS model very well. Let's hope the durability is there!

Looks very nice! But Wow! $36 a pop. I just checked them out, and they look identical to the Yesoo brand i purchased a while back for $12 or $13 shipped. They came with an imitation pentalobe screwdriver also. I am leaning towards the ones that use the Phillips head screws more. They seem to have a nicer finish and similar to Clockworksynergy ones. I do love the springbar versions as the bands look flush and fit perfect on them apart from the unfinished sides. I have an assortment of all types currently in use.

Also the ones i purchased from Inkoo recently all came with the screw threads covered in a blue color thread locker. So once it's screwed in it should technically never come loose. Slight change from the ones i got from him a few weeks back. Seems that quality is getting better. :)

FWIW, I looked through all of the freedomoclock09 listings on eBay, and found that some offered the choice of silver/black, and others offered silver/black/gray (and others just one of the three colors). I ordered the gray ones, should find out on Monday how they match a SGS. (And I'm totally with you on spring bars - they're more secure, look nicer, and are easier to swap between bands.)

Link for the ones I ordered: http://www.ebay.com/itm/271918877262

Is that 19.5mm width standard for Apple 38mm watch lugs? I thought other adapters measured 20mm at least.

It should be for 38mm watch 22mm width band on utica lugs (but can manage maybe 23-24mm on classic style lugs)
For 42mm watch 24mm is standard on utica lugs (but can manage 25-26mm on classic style lugs)

Personally i go for 24mm as i am undecided which bands look better on uticas or classic ones. I can interchange them no problem.

That 19.5mm would probably look the same as those 3rd party cheap bands on amazon, JetTech for example. There is alot of play in the band on the classic adapters.
