Do you plan on ordering the new Apple Watch Series 7 (2021) this September?

Does anyone know what charger they are packing with Series 7? Not sure I have the right adaptor.

If you want to make use of the fast charging ability, you will need at least a 20w bus-c brick.

So does mine. 4th day of Processing 😞
Totally normal. I have done a lot of Apple preorders over the years. I have seen no movement on a launch day preorder until Tuesday evening or even Wednesday morning, then all of a sudden rapid progress from China to Alaska to Kentucky to your local hub.

Don't worry. You'll get it on the day they quoted. Don't expect it early though. Apple makes certain that never happens.

@redman042 is completely right. Happens every launch with online orders.

Total agreement with your post. Just a side note - I’m still hesitant about the fast charging in general. I know it will work - but more worried about longer term battery health. My S6 is always on and it’s the only watch I wear - and it’s good at 94% battery health right now. I charge it every night while I sleep using the old 5W USB-A brick that used to come with iPhones and older watches. I think that does well to not aggressively charge the battery. I haven’t used sleep tracking but I can see why fast charging would be necessary in that respect. I just don’t know when I would charge it after I wake up. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@Apple_Robert (quote's acting weird and console erroring so I'll skip it)

Yes I know Jamil Coury! Aravaipa Running is where/who I did most of my 50K's with. Started running about 11 yrs ago, did some road Disney races, but haaated road running and then got into trails, which as you know, slippery slope of further further further. :)

I'm still running some, but my husband blew out his knee on BTR100 a few years ago so my running buddy is now mostly my hiking buddy so I haven't wanted to make him sad by running trail races w/o him being able to. I've paced a friend on Javelina Jundred (miler) as well, that was pretty fun.

We just captained an aid station last Saturday for the 50 mile "Man Against Horse" and it was fun to see Nick Coury trotting up to our 40 mile aid station like he just walked out his front door. Nick and Jamil are not human! :D

I wear my watch about 21 - 22 hrs a day. Fast charging would mean that one could get an emergency charge if one forgot to charge overnight or just take less time charging in the morning on in the interim at work etc. My launch day Series 6 is at 89% and it gets charged every day as well, sometimes twice. I am not really worried about the heat from the fast charging aspect, especially with the aluminum version seeing how the watch isn't going to be a long term use item and if need be, Apple can replace the battery for $79. I will probably upgrade next year anyway.

Thank you. I better order the one in your link. All the adaptors I have in the house have regular USB bricks.

Anyone have their 45mm Aluminum Midnight with Sport Band ship as of yet? Got my order in and got email a few minutes later; unlike with my iPhone 13 Pro Max (which was charged within 15-20 minutes) I've yet to see anything on the watch.

Jamil is an excellent runner. He travels for races a lot more than me. Maybe one day I can give the Badwater 135 a go. :D At the moment, I am training for a 100 miler with a goal of 22 hours.

Good on you for keeping your feet in the game so to speak. The running community is one of the best experiences by far. :D Maybe hubby can transition to being your crew chief. ;)
