Looks like internal docs have been leaked on the S7

Good spot. I like 9to5Mac. They are pretty quick off the mark with the latest news. Interesting about the weight differences and I guess that must be put down to the reinforced screen as I can’t think of what else would add to the weight as there isn‘t a much difference from the S6

Here are the actual pages of the internal docs for everyone‘s reference.

Seems like aluminum watches are still getting ion x glass and not sapphire.

So will Apple make an announcement when the watch is actually released and it just appears as available for order on the Apple store or perhaps they will announce it at the MacBook Pro keynote.
I have to say that at the keynote, Tim Cook didn’t look well. He hasn’t looked well for a couple of years

Tough to say, I'd guess it'll just become available for ordering. Or they may make a later announcement.

Either way I'd imagine folks will be talking about it here when it happens.

I’d probably guess that they would announce the preorder and release date during the rumored October event they’re supposed to be holding.

Thinking will likely get the nike edition. bigger screen and brighter seems like a positive. My battery life on my series 6 is bad so maybe hoping a new model will also help even though battery life is said to be no different

I wouldn't expect a new S7 to have noticeably different battery life than a less-than-year-old S6. Particularly if that's not something Apple touts in their marketing.

What's your S6's Battery Health? On the watch go to Settings->Battery->BatteryHealth

Mine is on 85%. I don’t expect it either but I don’t mind upgrading it just for larger screen. Given the lower priced models are around 400 not too bad to invest in each year given how much it’s used

I wonder if we’re ever going to see more than the 18 hours battery rating. If it’s likely to stay that way for a long time, I may just go ahead and get the Series 7. I don’t need a drastic redesign. The only other sensor that I’d kinda like to have is skin temperature. I honestly don’t use the ECG app ever and doubt I’d use the blood oxygen sensor much either.

The only things I’d really like to see are increased battery life, better use by Apple of the data collected, a recovery based goal system in fitness. Other than battery life, this could all be done via software updates.

9to5mac has posted another well-written article. I like how you can compare S6 Apple Watch to the S7 screen ratio. The extra space on the screen makes a good difference. Even though it’s an S series watch but the bigger screen is a welcoming change.

Found a better picture on Reddit, it looks seriously blue.

I want something more versatile so I can easily match my bands. It does look blue which is a bit disappointing.

I’m not getting the stainless steel this year so I suppose the Midnight is the best option. The starlight looks champagne which is not my style.

Oh well, something different. I will probably get the Midnight iPhone 13 mini to match :)

That's interesting my S5 battery is at 92% health. I do have optimised charging turned on.

wow, your watch is still going strong!

my launch day S5 battery is at only 75% health... :( (I have optimized charging turned on as well, but I doubt it works with my schedule...)
It barley gets me through a regular day (without much sports tracking) anymore...

So I guess, I have no real choice but to upgrade this year.

I have been in DC this week for a conference thinking I would miss the launch. I now go on to Rome then Athens in October so surely the time zones will have me out of sorts for the eventual launch.

Yeah i do as well not sure why mine dropped so bad. Mine is off the charger at 7am most mornings and after a workout at 6.30 it’s back on charger for half an hour at say 19.30 as the battery is always on about 20% by then.

Yeah it does look blue in that picture but in the 9to5Mac article the first picture looks more black.

i think pics like that are hard to measure as the silicone midnight case does look more black than blue.

Gutted this isn’t out yet - my S4 Digital Crown has been broken since a water park trip, it is constantly scrolling up and down so screen was always on killing the battery in a few hours, only usable now by all raise to wake etc off and making sure put to sleep after.

Hopefully not waiting too long for pre orders, to be fair plenty to look forward to between my s4 and 7.

If I had a S5, I probably would upgrade to the S7. Like I mentioned in other threads, the bigger screen is nice, but for me, it doesn't warrant me upgrading from my S6.

Upgrading from a Series 2 Apple Watch so yes, I'm ecstatic about the Series 7 upgrade!!!! :)

Will be pre-ordering to ship so I can join in on the UPS delivery fun. (I had to choose an in-store pick-up for the iPhone 13 Pro Max this year....and kinda miss the excitement of the UPS scans and flights!)
