Do you plan on ordering the new Apple Watch Series 7 (2021) this September?

So the band and the watch ship in completely different packages? Will Apple let you exchange a band you don't really want? Like, if I buy the default midnight watch configuration with the default black sport band, can I later take that (unopened) sport band into an Apple store and swap it out for another band of my choosing?

I'm wondering if I should just go default everything and figure it out later.
I know last year they were allowing swaps of the Solo/Solo Braided Loops, because people were having a hard time with the online measurement tools. Not sure about the non-loop bands.

I don't see why the ordering won't be the same as 6 along with the studio, but since I have nice bands from the 6, I'll probably just get the cheapest config of the titanium and call it a day. The trade in step might slow things down though. Might be better to sell on one of the sites.

I think they use the same trade in process as iPhone. I just did that for my new iPhone and it was very easy and fast. Once you have your new item, a box is automatically dispatched to you that you put the phone (or watch - the instructions were for both) into the same box, seal it, and apply a label they give you. They then credit back the trade in against your payment method or reduce your monthly payment, depending on how you paid.

you can't swap a combo bought online in store as far as I know, however if bought in store, you can swap otherwise refund the online order and purchase outright again. Annoying I know.

** Also keep in mind that if you select a Solo version that Apple.com forces you to take measurement steps... just more clicks for time

I've always gotten an aluminum model, but considering SS for tomorrow. For those of you that have had both, how much heavier is the SS model? Does it still seem to do okay while working out? or swimming, etc.
I go back and forth between SS, ceramic, and aluminum daily. The SS is heavier than the aluminum, but you'll only notice it for like the first few minutes, then never again.

Im starting to worry that Ti wont be available at launch. Most places seem only to list the Aluminum and SS options and configs.

Even here, only those options and configs are shown. I hope Im wrong! Really have gotten used to the subtle look of the Natural titanium watch.
Also remember that Edition models aren't sold at other retailers and even not sold in some Apple stores depending on market size. We like Edition models more than Apple does.
Isn't Ti only ever sold at a few Apple stores + the online store? I don't think 3rd party sellers carry them.
Titanium models will be available. They are just exclusive. like the Hermes.

It is looking like we won't get much more information from apple.com or the store app until tomorrow. I was hoping we could see the configurations and get the pre-order ready today.
You should have an idea what you plan on ordering. You can also look at AW 6 and decide. Just make sure you are ready for tomorrow.

The SS is significantly heavier and, for me, is a no-go for certain types of workouts.

I swapped back to aluminum with series 6 b/c I like the braided solo loops and the weight of the SS would cause the watch to move on the wrist and throw off heart rate readings. Just my .02.

This will be my first ever Apple Watch so hoping everything goes smoothly when ordering. I’ve never ordered anything from Apple’s website before so I’ve been trying to familiarize myself with the process as much as I can with what we can currently see.

I’m fine going with the 41mm Starlight/Starlight band so hoping that will pretty simple to order. If not any more complicated to order though I think I’d prefer the Nike version but not a deal breaker.

Do we know what will be the default band with the Nike Starlight… will it also be a Starlight band or a Nike band?

Not seeing the Nike versions with from Apple.com/Watches or do you just have to put in Google search… looking for the fastest way in the morning?

Nike Watches always come with a Nike band. I would assume the default band for Starlight will be Platinum/Black sport band or Summit White sport loop.

Case and band combinations can only be made within collections (Apple Watch, Apple Watch Nike, and Apple Watch Hermès) so the Nike Series 7 will always come with a Nike band.
