Just to show you don't have to go with a "personal massager" erm, Griffin stand ;) to go black:

So the watch sits on the top shelf but the charging puck sits on the lower shelf?
Those pics are confusing as hell.
I tried this but the puck comes out every time you pick the watch up. At least one the one I bought. You would need to double side tape the puck into place

So the good news is my DODOcase Charging Stand for Apple Watch arrived today. The bad news is it arrived broken. I have emailed them to ask for a replacement. I will let you know how I get on...

I really like the functionality and looks of the Night Stand by EvelvationLab, but I have a couple of concerns with it. I've emailed them to see what they have to say about my issues and I'll post their reply once I get it.

Here's my thinking. I think the overall design and features on this model are terrific. I love the fact that it's made from silicone. All these bent metal shapes, meant to mimic the apple iMac stand, bother me with all their sharp edges. I can see a groggy person, getting ready for sleep or trying to turn their watch alarm off, scratching or nicking the edges of their watches with the sharp corners on those things. A nice soft material like this stand will obviously not make that a possibility. So kudos to ELabs on that.

Now my main concern. If you look at their images on the website, they always show the digital crown and "friends" button always facing down. BUT, from what I remember, those two buttons will act as a snooze and off button each when used in landscape/bedside/nightstand mode in watchOS 2. So, someone fumbling around to hit a button a small device to silence an alarm will probably be looking to hit the buttons at the TOP of the watch, not the bottom. And, I wonder if the watches will simply slide off the face of that unit when someone hits the button because the magnets on the charger are not all THAT strong. I can't help but wonder if that's going to be a complaint on these units once watchOS 2 hits.

I would think that a small curved ledge/shelf, made to mimic the shape of the watch, that would stick out on the underside of the watch would solve this issue for me. It wouldn't have to be a full shelf, just a nice curved element that sticks out about half the thickness of the watch to allow the watch to even sit on the unit without even the magnet charger. So, maybe I'll just wait for The Night Stand 2 by ElevationLab to go along with my watchOS2.

If anyone has this stand, can you do some snooze alarm type tests and see if knocking the watch off the charger face becomes in an issue at all when tapping on the digital crown and other button???

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but ran across this video showing and reviewing 8 different watch stands. Nice to see some handled and used, versus just static pictures.

Yup! Smartwatchr made the review and posted a couple pages ago.

Here's a review of 8 different stands and docks from AERB, JETech, Spigen, Griffin, Nomad, Twelvesouth, and Mophie.

Some very good points. However isn't the idea that you snooze or turn off the alerts with your iPhone? They mirror each other and one just lets the watch charge and sleep? I mean you can do either but if that's the worry, the phone is more accessible during the night than most of these charging stands.

That's my concern too, and the reason why I haven't ordered yet, wanted to see what others say first who have actually owned the stand. I really like the stand that came with my Moto 360, and hoped this would mimic it.

Oh, what does the stand for the Moto 360 look like? Can you post a picture of it?

I shopped around a lot of read a lot of reviews, and ended up with the Griffin dock today. ($30 at Best Buy)
I'd say, I'm very very impressed. As others have said, it's very heavy and I'm surprised how high quality it feels. It looks like a squished Apple TV. Looks and works great. At first I wondered why it was so tall, but it makes sense that the band (open) is full suspended and does not touch the ground.
Very happy, I recommend

Ok so got the Nomad ripoff through today and have to say for a early copy it's pretty well made. A few points to note it's not aluminium it's acrylic (not a bad thing as no chance of scratching the watch on it). Also there's no counterweight in the base but seems to have a better cable run on it as there's no cutout showing on the front where the cord meets the magnetic puck. All in all great for £14.99 off ebay UK. Pics and link below.

When I saw these on eBay last week the acrylic really put me off, although I like the shape.
How is it in person looks/feel wise, does it feel as cheap as I expect it to?

I really like the Nomad stand but I refuse to give them my money.

to be honest they look and feel ok the acrylic is Matt so it looks fine it's a bit light but for a fraction of the price of the original it's well worth it. It's replaced my Spigen stand. Also I didn't like the line that's been cut out for the wire on the front of the Nomad stand they originally advertised it with just the circular cutout for the charging puck don't know if the line was a manufacturing defect on Nomads part or if they had to change the design but the eBay ripoff doesn't have it which I'm happy with.

Cheers. Yeah I didn't like that they changed the design either, someone said it was done to accommodate the plastic charger that comes with the sport watch. Never seen one so I don't know how it's different from the normal charger.

I'm not sure I understand your main concern. What is stopping you from positioning the Apple Watch with the Digital Crown and "friends" button facing up? I'm guessing when they made this stand, they didn't know about the new watchOS. I printed off something similar to this design at work with a 3D printer and the watch can be positioned either with the controls facing up or facing down. Here's a pic of the rendering.
