I ordered my AW Ultra Trail Loop Black/Gray in the early morning of September 7, 2022. When I placed the order the estimated delivery was October 20th - 27th. Friday September 16th that date slipped to October 25th - November 1. WOW, anyone else experience this change. I thought it would actually ship earlier, thought Apple was just be conservative. Disappointed to say the least, my wife's AW Ultra White Ocean will be delivered September 23rd. 🤪

Since I cancelled the Ultra order and went with the new S8 I looked at the Black/Gray Trail Loop I originally wanted with the Ultra. Mid-November delivery! It's like Apple hasn't even started getting them yet. I'll just check at my local Apple Store once I have the S8. But the band choice with the Ultra is clearly what's holding up so many orders.

I ordered one of the SKUs they had for day-1 delivery, will just pick up the trail loop later when they become available in stores.

Ordered at the end of the day they were announced and got shipment notice it is moving and arriving on 9/23.
I just found one on Apple that had the 9/23 delivery date. I like the band, but I figure I can always get a different one if I don't like it.

Would prefer to get it sooner rather than wait on a specific band.

Which one? Which band combo did you find for 9/23 delivery?

The more pictures of the Ultra I see, the more I'm convinced my cancelling my preorder was the right decision. I cannot get used to the big square bulge next to the crown. Very "un-Apple" to release something without clean lines. Looks like an unfinished design to me.

That’s great! Maybe I’ll get mine sooner. I’ll like something a little different rather than what everyone else has. Even if it won’t see the deep ocean ever. 🤣

The bummer about ordering through my carrier is missing out on the tracking fun! I haven’t participated in the tracking party since iPhone 12.

Also, it totally feels like I ordered this thing like 2 months ago!! Hahaha. Loooong wait. I’m extremely impatient.

Hmm, I guess the UK or EU orders are the same as iPhone: movement once it’s closer to the delivery location. In the UK, that means movement once it’s been dispatched from Syncreon / Hinckley

The design is perfect for what it is intended to do. and the fact that sapphire glass is tucked in from the corners (design flaw on all other Apple Watches) is a beautiful thing. Wont need a case or screen protector.
