It’s already in some sort of motion this morning. Might I finally get to follow one of my orders to the states?? That would be kinda fun. Third time would be a charm 😂

Based on the images Apple posted on the AUW pages, if you're comparing 45mm to 49mm, the difference appears to be almost inconsequential. If you expand the quoted reply below, on the top edge the 45mm display shows "CENTR" (half of the R) while the 49mm display shows "CENTR" (full R with just a hint of the bottom left leg of the A). On the right side, the 45mm shows "CENTRAL PAR" (half of the R) while the 49mm shows "CENTRAL PAR" (full R). It's possible that this would be obvious to some people side by side, but I had to look carefully to distinguish the display that had half of the two Rs from the display that had complete Rs.

It's a lot more evident if you compare the 44mm display.
I saw this thread, and added that the screen is 23 square millimeters larger, with double the contrast. I think outdoors the difference will even be more apparent. Back to the AWU👍🍺 tomorrow is the day my friend 😉👏👌

Question
Should I check for local availability for the AWU tomorrow morning and cancel my preorder and not get the band I want or keep my preorder and wait til October?
Verizon claiming none will be in stock at their retailers so maybe Apple.

While my watch still sits in Kentucky - I got two emails from Apple this morning...

that can't be good...

The first email:

Oh, ok. That's good!

But what's this second email?

WTF?!?!?

Phew just AC+!

Interesting - This is the first time I've ever opted for monthly AppleCare since I plan to only use this watch for 1 year. Since this is the same transaction that my AWU was processed on - I'm assuming my AMEX doesn't like monthly subscriptions.

Anyways, no rush... Caused me a f'n heart attack though lol

Finally got the “shipped” notification from Apple with an ETA of tomorrow. UPS still says Kentucky, but I’m sure it’ll show up in Minneapolis today or even tomorrow morning. Usually goes from Arrived in Minneapolis to “out for delivery” pretty quickly.
Ditto for me it Pittsburgh.

With a number of people inferring that they bought an Apple Watch Ultra with a strap they did not want in order to speed up the process, I am wondering if it would be a good idea to setup a swap post in the marketplace for this. You may find that the strap you wanted may be one that someone else does not want. Just a thought.
I second

A good idea. Though a lot of us bought a watch with a band we didn't want because we have already have 45mm bands that (allegedly) work with the Ultra.
