One wonders what a person of such mindset is doing on a site such as MacRumors. Stick to PC sites?

Wait, to have an account on MacRumors you necessarily have to be an Apple fanboy?
Simply owning an Apple product, using one at work or having a passing interest in Apple products - maybe as part of a general interest in the computer industry - doesn't suffice?

This isn't 1998.
Either that, or the Spice Girls have started putting out horrible music even for their standards.

Hate is a really strong word, and to apply that feeling to a single gadget manufacturer that no is forcing you to buy or stick with is asinine.

The original poster, seems to also be focusing on dissatisfactions with Apples financial success. That success comes from sales and sales comes from user satisfaction. Put all that hate and anger out of your thinking, it gets you nowhere. Replace it with a workaround. I use both iMac, and Widows 10.........where there is a will, you can always find the way. All OS,s have some warts, and if we are not willing to trash our computers and start with a pencil and paper in hand, then we take the good, bad, and sometimes ugly in stride. It ain't easy to be a human being with the mind set of a monkey.

Well said. The whole fanboy mentality is just plain silly. Use what you like, and unless someone asks you just keep it to yourself. No need to be militant or try and rally imagined internet troops around a lame cause.

I'm beginning to hate Apple because:

– iOS 9 und El Capitan are actually bugged, too "slow" and "old" – boring – compared to Android und Windows.
– The price (!!!) – maybe I don't need here any explanation -.-. I just say: 160€ for the Smart Case of the iPad Pro which costs in Germany 900€. I mean: Fortunately I can pay these prices are not rationally anymore!!
– Updates: These are rare (iPad, Macbook) and
– Hardware: Too old compared to, for example, Samsung or Androids phones.
– Software: definitely too limited (…)!!

My alternatives:
– Windows 10: I tested it and I think that it is NOW very beautiful, stable and fast.
– Apple Watch: Sorry but I really don't like the form of the Apple Watch: Samsung Gear 2 is for me much better!
– DELL XPS 13 2016 vs Macbook Retina: I like the Dell much better than the mbr, for example because of the Full HD and the dimensions – and, of course, the price!

Don't know, I'm really thinking about to change :(.

Everyone has a different experience using Apple products. My experience has been great overall, while others may have had a horrible experience. If you do want to switch over, go for it! Maybe Windows/Android works best for you. If you find that you don't like it, you can always come back to iOS and OS X.

Even after thinking about it for a few days, no hate here. Disappointment, yes. Wary of the direction Apple is heading. Then again, I am also seriously concerned on the direction MS is taking too. So where does that leave me? A Google only world? That isn't cool.

i think price would be exempted as to "why u are beginning to hate Apple"

For starters, Apple hasn't just began price hike . There Mac's today and yesterday would never get for $600. same reason u can't use exchange rate for the same reason, since u have no control over it.

The rest ok :)

What really grinds my gears is when Apple fails to call me back.

I have El Capitan 10,11,3 on my system after waiting for many months with concerns about the stability of upgrading. Mainly because I read all the complaints here on this forum. Everything from those who disliked the new flat color changes, the font changes, or even the name change. All of which finally worked it's way to what we now have as a workable OS. I am glad to be a user of Apple Computers. Freedom of choosing things in our lives is a luxury we should enjoy, and if something does not float your boat, hang with the idea that things will over time get fixed. If not to your satisfaction, move on to other pastures.

I felt it was offensive the way Apple delivered some parts of its March presentation, they came across as elitists in regards to Windows/PC users. It was a little hard as an Apple customer and disappointing to see some of the executives in the audience shaking their heads in a disparaging way when the keynote speaker talked about PCs.
Apple needs to ease up on attacking PC users, or if they must, be clever about it as was seen in the PC Mac commercials where the tone is lighthearted. If Apple were more reasonable with their pricing, profit margin, paid more taxes in all the territories where they sell their products and did better to address promptly documented faults and issues with their products, they might then have an argument to mount as being so much better than PCs.
Not even the repackaged rehashed iPhone SE goes ways to bridge the gap between very noticeable Cupertino elitism that has set in and the reality of circumstances of people in the rest of the world. A little more caring and sharing and understanding for your customers, Apple.

I found it funny when he said it but it was very... 14-year-old. "Yo mamma still uses a five year old computer? HOW SAD. We bought iPad Pro because some of us afford it and it's Pro so we can do Pro things."

Zero hate for Apple here. Love and use their products everyday. However, I cannot lie when I say that I'm beginning to see more and more of areas of concern within their products and software.

On a software level, I feel like we are seeing more and more issues making it through to live environments whether it be bugs, service issues, etc. I experienced it with a new rMB that I bought that actual resulted in a return. You can see iOS and OS X merging more and more as well, whether you like it or not. That's more personal preference than anything else but I don't find iOS all that productive for my own workflow when compared to OS X.

Product wise, the iOS side is cruising right along while the Mac side sits stagnant. I assume a refresh is very close so you can't give them too much criticism for it but they've allowed themselves to fall substantially behind the curve in terms of actual hardware. Whether it's Intel's fault or not, they need to fix those supply chain issues.

All in all, I feel like Apple has done a lot of coasting over the past 18 months. Granted there have been some great products to come out but look at Microsoft for example. That company is an absolute behemoth and still trying to turn itself around from the Steve Ballmer days but make no mistake that they're getting it together. Windows 10 is a step in the right direction and the Surface line competes very well with what Apple has. If Microsoft can continue to overhaul Windows, add some actual style to it and replace/redo old pieces of Windows 8/7 within it, it'll be right on par very quickly.

To tell you the truth, my opinion recently has changed to give Apple a little slack contrary to before. After getting my first android phone, you start to really see the perspective of how Apple builds a "stable" and "organized" OS.

I'm still not crazy about the Jony Ives UI redesign, I'm slightly frustrated with logic (naming the new iPhone the SE and not just a 6SE), i'm outraged at the limitations of the iPod Touch 6th gen and finally I'm a little frustrated with the limitations of the iPad Pro (It should have been a 2k iOS and OSX super-hybrid tablet).

However, I still am interested in the future of Apple and, their products.

I have many reasons. mostly personal or philosophical, but im gonna elaborate on the reason i think is most relevant now. their abandonment of pro users.

Ever since Apple really began to milk non-tech savvy users who think Apple sticker=magic, which is not wrong in itself, but what is wrong is abandoning their power users who kept them floating in their darkest ages. OSX is looking more and more flat and boring, some power apps are being abandoned, computers are being locked down, their iPad pro doesnt even support mouse or have a file manager, their focus on the mac in general is dwindling, especially the mac pros. speaking of which, the new trash can designs are not ideal either, having thermal issues and being non upgradeable. they general said smarter things, software quality seems to have taken a nose dive(when was the last time an iOS update didnt have obvious issues?). i also hear the technical competence of the Apple store staff has taken a nose dive as well.

it really seems like Apple has completely forgotten about their loyal fans who kept them afloat when they needed them the most, rather choosing to cater to the ignorant masses because cash money. Microsoft has a similar issue nowadays. I have learned not to have sympathy for struggling companies because i know they wont reciprocate my feelings down the line. we are customers, not buddies. they only focus on getting what they want from us, we should do the same with them.

I don't think the tech support at Apple were even on the ball to begin with..

Apple should at least be telling people the moment u get part retail store level support we don't care about our customers... That is true...i had tickets all over the place Apple eventually got me a new iPhone, not a replacement they like to keep handing out as a means to cut down on manufacturing costs, and because based on previous history, which they never looked at (how many times has this phone been sent back), yes... that is the most valid point to decide if it should be replaced, or brand new..

That's what gets me... Apple needs to look at this a bit more rather than going blind and sticking to their rules. rather than what actually makes more sense. That does not sound like a company who "took care of their users" particularly when i chased then up for 7 weeks with no call back.

So you believe Apple, a public corporation owes you something?

Don't understand what your saying. You returned a phone multiple times and you didn't get the customer service you expected? Why did you return a phone so many times?

Don't understand what your saying. You returned a phone multiple times and you didn't get the customer service you expected? Why did you return a phone so many times?

I've returned "replacement" phone multiple times n a short time period because of the wifi option being dimming and unable to resolve, even when doing a restore via itunes, the Wifi option appeared ok, but after a few days it the option became dim again...

I had this replacement 3 phones all replaced 3 weeks of each other.... You telling me that Apple should "keep" this "replacement" up just to save on their manufacturing costs, when they fully well know based on my previous return history with these phones, there is obviously something wrong as a short replacement and 3 of then should of clicked alarm bells as "do u want a new phone ?"

That's why i was complain to them.. Apple keeps history of this stuff,, they should know how many phones i returned on a short 3 week date, and should of asked "me" not "me insisting them"

Although it could very well be all accidents too, but regardless, it was still three phones returned.. Apple just decided to do the tests on the returned phone after they sent out an express replacement, that's their problem without fully being aware of weather the customer is telling the truth or not. In any case,, that's my story..

and besides no charge to CC either, so they clearly accepted responsibility for that.
