I got an 11pro only because my X had battery swelling and spilt. As a medical professional, I said that I would upgrade when on screen fingerprint worked. Yes, I have an Apple Watch, and most of the time the unlocking works, but it still wonks out sometimes. With fingerprint moving to next year, and titanium frames, I’ll wait it out another year with my 11pro.

Im excited for a new phone. Currently one iPhone 6 since launch. But I really don’t think the 13 will be a substantial upgrade if you have an 10 through 12.

I really don’t know if I am this year. Maybe it’s just that there’s no official date to look forward to, maybe the leaks just haven’t got my juices flowing yet. But right now, I’d probably go with not.

I probably say the same thing every other year right enough. I’m not going to upgrade, I’ll skip this one. Then the event comes and goes, and my order for yet another iPhone goes in :D

13 pro max sounds good if talk about battery.

Kinda. I was a lot more excited before Apple’s “child protection features” for iOS 15 were announced.

I’m planning on getting the 13 mini. I think I wouldn’t normally upgrade this year if it weren’t for the fact that Apple is rumored to be getting rid of the mini for next year’s iPhones and only offering the 6.1 size as the smallest.

My XS Max still runs like brand new, but I don’t want to miss out on the smaller mini form factor or get it a year after it’s been released either. I’ve been wanting to switch to a smaller phone for years. I’m also really looking forward to getting a better modem from Qualcomm compared to the one on my XS Max.

Of course it will be the best iPhone ever... but incrementally it'll be a snore.

The only thing that will be amazing is Apple's marketing.

since I have a 12, not really. I don't think there will be much of a reason to upgrade.
for anyone with anything older than a 12, sure.

If you're referring to the CSAM detection, that's completely different to the child protection features. I don't know of many people contesting the child protection feature in messages.

Kinda excited for the iphone 13 though it's still unknown if I will upgrade or not. This brand new 11 pro max (256GB) replacment I got with applecare ealier this month has been working great. Easily could hold on to it for another year. The rumors I have read from reports don't make the iphone 13 seem like a big upgrade over the 12. Then folks are saying the iphone 14 will be more worth while with touch ID under the screen and other stuff. ALSO, Apple has said that this year getting an iphone will be harder and slightly more expensive due to production issues ( probably C-Virus related). We will see come September 14th.

The biggest things that would make me upgrade this year would be some form of touch ID, 120 HZ display, and good camera/ 5G improvements.

Got rid of my 11 and using an old iPhone 8 currently, with absolutely horrible battery life and a cracked front. Also I simply can’t unlearn the new way of navigating the UI and accessing control center. I keep swiping the top right corner and up from the bottom at all times…

So ye, very excited about the new one! 😬

I suspose I could have waited on getting a new phone, but I got the 12 pro. I like the camera and the phone, but this face unlock has me feeling fine. makes me laugh, if no one recognizes me, my phone does.

Well it is going to take a while to pay this thing off, and my iwatch 6, got to have some thing to do with it that is different and cool.

It will be fine hearing about experiences when the phone comes out.

The last iPhone that excited me was iPhone X. It was great because of the beautiful OLED display, but also a disappointment because of the increased price, the lack of Touch ID, and the poor battery life.

I am not excited about the iPhone 13. The biggest feature that I would expect is a faster screen. But Android phones have had faster screens for years now. Mid-range Android phones have them now. Apple is late to the party. And, even so, there is still a chance that faster screens are restricted to the "Pro" models and the $700+ regular iPhones are stick to 60 Hz screens.

The law of diminishing returns makes each generation of the iPhone less attractive to me. Plus, Android has evolved so much that it has caught up with iOS in many respects, so it is no longer a night-and-day difference.

So, unless Apple really makes something truly innovative, I am not getting excited over the iPhone 13.
