Are you upgrading to the 11/11Pro/Max?

Current iPhone is doing me very well. Spent about a grande for it. Camera is very good and my other needs like phone usage, internet, texting and some YouTube usage is taken care of, so no, for me there is absolutely no need to upgrade. So Mr. Apple’s Tim Cook, I will never spend another thousand bucks. I’ll keep this one for a fair while

Most likely skipping. Have an 8 Plus which is essentially the X minus the screen and selfie portrait camera.

Dragging my feet for 5G, usb-c, 1TB, and under screen Touch ID.

Just filled in the form for “Music Magpie”. Offering £687 for my 256GB Xs Max. Will see what is revealed today but still in the “not upgrading camp” for now.

Most likely skipping. Still happy with my SE, and would want something that will fit in my jeans pocket and not bend. Of course, they may come out with a small new phone, but rumours say 2020 or later.

If they came out with a "smaller form factor than a 6" phone with modern specs I would buy it pretty much immediately, depending on price (i.e. not £1000). Not gonna happen though, is it.

.....I'm STILL skipping this year's iPhones if all the rumoured pictures are correct - they offer nothing more than an upgraded camera over my current XS.

I'm holding out for next year's 5G iPhones.....

I'm also VERY happy with my XS, so will be skipping next year and the year after. Probably upgrade my watch before my iPhone again to be honest.

The only thing that may sway me toward a new iPhone is the promise that the radios will work much better. The Intel modem chipset is definitely a downside to the current iPhones.

Maybe worth $1000 for 12 months to you but everything points to 2020 iPhones being massively more interesting

Plus no crippled Intel modem
That is actually one of the reasons why I consider getting a 7 until next year. The Intel-modem on the XR felt a bit lagging when I tried one out.

A 5,4" XR with Qualcomm-modem would be very sweet.

Sounds like reverse wireless charging is cancelled for this years iPhone. Not something I particularly care about but still not a good look if reports are right that they cant figure out how to make it work reliably when Samsung has it nailed down.

For me its between the iPhone Pro Max and Pixel 4XL this year. Need the iPhone to improve battery life significantly, cameras significantly, and hopefully bump up the base model to 128 GB.

I'm skipping 2019 not because I don't like the phone, but because I just had a horrendous customer service with Apple.

My cable is torn and I asked for a replacement and they refused because they saw a black pin and said because there's damage on the pin (blame it on me putting it in water) they won't replace it and I'll have to buy a new one. How can they refuse to replace a ripped cable, black pin or not?

No way I'm paying 1000$ for a phone that they won't even replace a torn cable.

As expected very underwhelming offerings AND they’ve got rid of one of the few truly innovative features they’ve introduced in recent years (3D touch).

Easy pass this year. Will stick happily with my 256GB iPhone XS Max that is still the best phone I’ve ever had and is perfect for now.

Updated 10R is worthy of upgrading from my iPhone X. I like the camera system.

Edit: I forgot about lack of 3D Touch.... so I’m retracting my opinion lol

Yes. If you look past all the glossy videos, this is the most garbage upgrade ever. No touch ID. No charge sharing at the back. They make it seem as if the camera is something spectacular, the competition is already ahead. This is a terrible upgrade.

Not to mention that they still have that stupid lightning port. There really is nothing Pro about this. It's a terrible marketing stunt to cover up the poor upgrade.

I guess I’ll reserve judgment until seeing them in videos with hands on and stuff and not just marketing photos

But the 11(R) looks like a bleak lineup of colors. Not digging lavendar or mint. Black red or white I guess

The forest green “pro” is kinda neat actually but not even a flush camera module ? Looks uglier than I thought it was supposed to. And the space grey looks even more lifeless. Yikes was someone having a bad year that inspired some of these color choices ?

The newer gen OLED screen sounds sweet, and 4 hour uptick in battery over xs.

How does the 11(R- can’t shake that there’s no R this time) stack battery wise?

For we know it’s the best camera on the market

So on top of the very mediocre updates Apple really is taking the absolute p!ss with their pricing and product offerings.

£1000 (can be sure of this because Apple loves to rip off the UK customers with no adjustment for the exchange rate just 1-1 prices of US replacing $ for $) for a 64GB IPhone Pro Max? What an utter utter disgrace. How many years now have Apple been releasing their flagship model with a starting storage option of 64GB? And every year people complain about this.

It’s getting to the point that it’s clear that Apple have little originality and complete disdain for their customer.

I was on the fence and I usually give in and upgrade every year but this time I'm really can't see any reason to upgrade from my XS Max and unless you're into photography - and to be fair the new cameras and photo system are impressive - I can't see why anyone would. Me, I occasionally take a snap of the cat doing a stupid thing.
