I'm pre ordering from the company carrier the Pro Max 64GB. I currently have the XS and I have noticed how I needed a bigger screen to watch a couple of videos and browse the web on the go... I'm usually a year in and off from the Max/Plus models..

I was hoping for 128GB as base like other brands have been doing.. Despite not being an issue for me since I only occupy 35GB from the 64GB on the XS.

I have a Xs Max. First year in a long time I won't be upgrading. I'm on the iphone upgrade program, so not seeing any savings for another year makes it tempting to upgrade for the camera and battery life, but keeping the base storage at 64gb is a joke so i'm taking a stand :p

Yes! I have Xs Max and am completely satisfied with it. I'm waiting for 5G for sure and hopefully some sort of redesign. Apple MUST give us something new and refreshed in 2020 or continue to suffer iPhone sales declines. Let's be honest, at this point these iPhone reveals feel forced and uninspired.

After the launch, I’m totally underwhelmed. Bless the Apple techies for working hard to improve the camera.

But even fatter and heavier than the Xs max? No way. This insanity has to stop.

I have to agree that the 11 Pro/Pro Max is not that much different from my XS Max. The camera is better, and some other features, but I can care less about that for this year's phone. For now, I will be keeping my XS Max for another year and wait to see if indeed they release a notch-less phone in 2020. Also hoping that 2020 model has 5G. In the meantime I will be putting IOS 13 on my XS Max, knowing that it might make it better for the time being.

I caved and bought the XS 2 months before the new phones were annouced so I’ll Be skipping the iPhone 11 pro and upgrading when they shrink or remove the notch.

Imagine the 2020 iPhone having a No-Notch full pro-motion display, Touch ID in the screen, and different physical shape.

These upgrades alone would make the iPhone 11 Pro seem an unworthy proposition at $1K.
Come on thats a pipe dream. Apple = one new feature per year.... Maybe in 2024 we may see all of these but no way in one year.

Have a 1 yr old Xs Max 512gb. Perfect condition. Thinking about herring the 128gb 11. Saves me ~$30 per month. But , I love the display and size of the Xs Max. Also 3D Touch is pretty cool. Still thinking about it.

Same here. Though the savings from not upgrading is actually pretty big, because in a year the phone will be yours and then you can sell it for a good chunk of change to fund that upgrade, rather than just making payments perpetually plus the huge taxes and fees for each upgrade. Those upgrade programs have a way of tricking our brains into thinking that there is minimal cost to upgrading because we are already making the monthly payments, which is completely not true.

I am tempted by the battery life and the camera's night mode. I might just get an 11 (non Pro), and then upgrade again next year. A family member needs a phone and I'd give that person the X that I have. I'm worried about the modem, though. I have the Qualcomm X.

Yep. The 11 Pro is 45.7% heavier and 30.4% larger by volume than the 6 was. Yet some people insist that they are “about the same size”... I’m holding out hope for a 5.2-5.5 model in 2020.

Agree, that's a pipe dream; which even late rumors turned out not to be true this year (reverse wireless charge etc).

I think maybe a revised body like the iPad Pro square sides and a smaller notch. I dont see them ditching Face ID anytime soon; they are all in on the phones and tablets now. I dont see the iPhone going USB-C anytime soon either- they make money on the lightning port and it is arguably a sturdier connector than USB-C, even if not universal.

The screen sizes may change .1 or .2 inches and the lower end XR/11 model will go OLED likely next year.

Just because early rumors think so doesnt mean hopes and dreams are realistic. I think each year will continue to be iterative honestly. The biggest change will be MAYBE getting 5g next year (or 2021 as Apple usually isnt the first to a new tech and perfects it first) and even then I doubt there will be enough 5g coverage to make a huge difference to most people

Always waiting for the perfect device will get you always waiting for the next big thing.

Yes, skipping another year. My iPhone 7 is performing great still.

I used to want the latest and greatest, I’m done with that!! Changing phones every year is not worth for me. My 3 year old phone is still performing great. I love that!!

Just been on the Apple website. After 35 minutes there’s still loads of availability for launch day delivery. Looks like a lot are skipping this year.

Not this time

I skipped 2017 and 2018

So my iPhone 7+ from 2016 and my wifes 6+ is in desperate need of upgrading.

iPhone 11 for us and in 2 years a 2nd gen 5G enabled pro.

I’m skipping for the first time since I first got an iPhone 4 as my first iPhone. The camera, faster processor and a couple other features do intrigue me, but the loss of the 3D Touch for the less feature-rich Haptic Touch was the cementing factor. I love the shortcuts granted with 3D Touch and it’s really something that Apple had done nicely. With its loss, for someone that works in the veterinary field and needs to get to camera/email/and internet on the fly, it’s a major step back for me. Unless they reintegrate the feature in future models, I’ll be holding onto my 512gb XS Max for a loooong time until it’s on its last legs... Sad day as the updated canera would have been pretty useful as well in my field

I would seriously ROTFLMFAO big-time if Apple releases the "11S" form-factor next year, knowing you guys *expect* a full new hardware design!!! :p

Chances are, Apple will release an 11S (not new form factor) next year; just look towards the past 3 form factors for answers:

4/4S/5/5S then 6/6S/7/8 then X/XS/11/(11S)? then the 12....
