Because it's a bug that breaks something? It's not just some small visual glitch. It breaks animations.
Given that it doesn't break functionality or cause anything more than fairly inconsequential visual abnormalities and factoring in how hard it is to get it to come up and that it's not hard to recover from it, it seems fair to say that it's hardly anything that's "horrible".

It's not that hard to "enable" though. There were people in every recent beta build thread (I believe even as early as 9.0.1 or 9.1 threads) asking if the animation bug of them disappearing was fixed. Not knowing yet that it was due to using AssistiveTouch. Which means it can and has just happened by having that on and doing every day use.

It's been around for quite some time and wasn't until very recent that it was discovered how to force reproduce it and that it was AssistiveTouch causing it.

Either way, it still doesn't negate the fact that it's a bug and shouldn't get reported. The bug doesn't just break some animations entirely, it also causes a locking bug that flashes the lock screen when locking. Who knows what else it effects that hasn't been noticed yet.

It can happen through regular usage, sure, but still takes some particular repeated regular usage. It's not something that happens quickly/easily, even in cases when not deliberate. It's definitely a bug, and can be seen more than a minor one, (and should be reported), but it doesn't seem tot would be in the league of "horrible".

I never personally said it was horrible. I replied to a post that was asking someone why they thought it was horrible.

It's kinda the responsibility of a beta tester to report bugs and then I got flamed for not asking for it to be a feature in my bug report.

The same exact benefits can be achieved just by Apple increasing the speed, without the ugly ****** unpleasant experience this bug provides

they will never do it though cuz ... Apple. they will "fix" something unintentionally useful while leaving bugs in that are actually cumbersome in your daily routine just because it got covered in the media

The bug made my 6S Plus seem snappier, but it was causing problems whenever I took photos using the Apple Watch. The watch would keep looping the same message about waiting for camera to launch.

I want to report an effect of speeding the interface up. It's very annoying to have a quick device. My slow mind can't handle it.

Just tried the bug. Couldn't believe my phone could be this fast. I was opening and closing folders as fast as I could tap. iOS has way to many delays imo. They should remove all the delays, speed up the animations and add an accessibility setting for erratic finger syndrome for people who don't want to accidentally tap things.

I've been saying that since November 2013.

Give us a choice.I like the animations themselves.I just want to speed them up.If we remove all animations and pizazz in general we are stepping in Windows XP era

Following the skeoumorphism removal in iOS7, it wouldn't be so bad toning down the animations bloat right?

I think about switching between apps on OSX, there is zero animation, it's instant, nice and fast.

So a basic generalization, meant to support an opinion. Got it. Times have changed and bye-bye IOS 6 and hello IOS 7-10.
Just to throw in my opinion: Windows 7 is great awesome wonderful and it is how old?

I love the animations. Some fun quick animations with physics are great. I don't like the look at all with the bug or with reduced motion. But the thing is you can have both. Just remove the delays and make the animations a tad faster. I actually think iOS is pretty stale animation wise compared to the latest android. Android makes everything you tap fun.

Only old timers want something like this removed.Times have changed and this is the modern design language. It just needs a speed boost like on Android.

I don't want them removed, I want to see a settings option so the user has a choice whether to have the eye candy or not.
