What color and storage option are you getting?

They're normally either spot on or early (early if you have a later date than launch day). Last year I didn't get launch day delivery, and it took me a few weeks after launch to actually receive it but it was before the projected date. I'm really surprised they still have stock though.
Cool thanks for that. Yea I was surprised as well when I saw that. Well hopefully its true and I wont get a email next week saying there is a delay.
 
I received the charge 5 1/2 hrs after I placed my order directly to my credit card. Never received it on my bill. The only thing you would receive on your bill is the activation charge (which is BS BTW) if applicable.

AT&T is allowing the tax to be added to your bill instead of paying it upfront.
 
just ordered xs 256gb silver and a max 256gb silver, payed the 3x installment to be 50%, att chat told me the one on my current septemeber bill will be refunded on the next bill, but in fact it's just showing up as a payment credit on my current bill. so 1 or the 3 installment payments I had to do to upgrade was applied to my bill. amazed how att support didn't know that
 
2:03AM X Max 256 Silver in three minutes flat. Flawless execution......until I realized I never updated my address to my new one. AT&T won’t change it. Anyone have experience with this and can lend some advice?
 
Local AT&T store had a promo going (they said it's not in every state/store) buy a case at full price, get either a glass screen protector or wireless charger for free, but had to order in store not online.
Walked in at 9:10am and easily got my XS Max 512gb space gray ordered for a 21st delivery date, was expecting it to arrive later.
Apple's website said 2-3 weeks later for shipping when I checked before I left to the AT&T store.

They had 2 cases there to look at from Speck, the case is smaller than my 8 Plus with a small case on..

I made this mistake last time and ended up having to cancel and place another order. Extremely frustrating!
 
iPhone XS Max 512 GB and 256 GB (by mistake)

Fastest order I've made with ease also (I've had/upgraded the iPhone per top model release since version 1).

I set my alarm clock for 2:59am EST. I took my time, ordered the wrong one (nerves), went back at 5am and ordered the right one. Both are scheduled for Sept. 21st, but one will cost the full price upon shipment (ouch).

I don't want to take a risk by having an AT&T employee cancel the wrong one, so I'll take both and return one.
 
So I set my alarm for 3:00 am to be sure to get a preorder. I placed my order using Apple Pay and went back to sleep with nice dreams of my iPhone X S Max swirling in my heaD. :)

Woke up at 8:30 AM to see that my credit card was declined :(. I figured that the Apple Pay had an old expiration date listed so I reordered with my other card - no problem.

So long story short - I really didn’t need to wake up early to get in on the preorder.

I switched from Tmobile to ATT and got a XS Max 64gb Space Gray and Gold. I ordered at 2:20pm Central time. I also reveived discounts and waived fees for porting my number over and got a buy one get one essentialy for ordering two phones with two lines. I will get $700 in bill credits back for one of the phones. My order also says 9/21 hope it’s true.

Just ordered through my business account the XS Max 256 GB Space Grey for 9/21 delivery. It took me a month to find the X and 7+ after their launch as I didn't preorder those, I just bought in store. Very happy to still get this on launch day without having to be up early to order.

Hi I managed to order last night but now i noticed in my account a notification saying if I dint want my order cancelled to please call them I called and after like 45 minutes of waiting the guy said that i shouldn't worry that its no problem i also checked with the chat and again after almost another hour they said that since I already called i shouldn't worry fine well after that chat i get an email and saying action required and the same thing and my order changed from In Progress to Pending. Anyone else ran into this or has had this problem a past year? What do you guys recommend?

I ordered mine at 2AM when pre-ordering started for me and had an email around 5AM saying that I needed to call and my status was pending. I called and the representative said there were no issues with MY account, so it must just be a glitch and that they would need to "re-process" the order. By re-process, she meant cancel and re-order. Took about an hour on the phone to get through this and they assured me that "all pre-orders would still ship on 9/21" before starting this process and after completing the process. My AT&T account, as of now, still shows 9/21 delivery.
 
I wasn't going to pre-order, but after my wife badgered me all day she finally just did it for me at 3:30PM CDT... SG Max 256 expected delivery by 9/21.

Had to have one of my orders reprocessed as well. Thankfully same delivery date. Was told that the preorders should be delivered Thursday. Hope so, still going to be a long 6 days.

Note 8 that I preordered last year arrived the day before launch

The bogo deal did the trick for me. I'm upgrading from a 7 plus, but I have a teen with a iPhone 6, 16gb that is on its last legs. So essentially $999 for 2 phones was a win win. She has to change her number but she doesn't mind.
 
I walked into the att store at 4pm, Xs silver 256. delivery Sept 21st. It ain't flying off the shelves or they ordered just enough expecting sales.

Can you change the number right away or wait like 1 billing cycle? Minning get rid of old line. We actually want to get rid of one of the #.

In store Rep said I had to call to do it. Phone Rep cancelled the old line, but said the old number will be active through 10/2. So I might have to pay a prorate of my $15/mo line. No big deal.. And will give my daughter a chance to update her contacts.

I was certain that I was going to miss out on pre-order this time as I had a flight scheduled to depart at 12:00a PST. Well, luckily there was congestion on the taxi way, so while we sat, I jumped on the ATT website and was able to score a XS Max Gold 64g with a 9/21 delivery. Thank you LAX air traffic control for the awesome gift last night :).

Yeah the XS Max is .4 inches smaller than the 8 plus. The iPhone 8 Plus is 6.24 inches long and the IPhone XS Max is 6.20 inches long so it’s just a smidge shorter. Not enough to make a big difference because of the extra screen display space.

I’m thinking Apple has finally gotten smart and started to make enough to keep up with the demand especially with the holidays right around the corner it will be sure a hot item.
