Carrier AT&T 2018 iPhone Pre-Order Thread

My credit card worked fine, it was flagged by the fraud dept due to the charges that day. There was NO reason AT&T had to cancel my order while I was on the phone and then go through what they had me go through to re-do the order. All they had to do is re-submit the charge -OR- do what they said they would do on the chat 2 nights earlier after they reassured me everything was fine and bill it to my account.

Yes, not mad at the bank, they were doing their job, for the most part. I was just upset at the hoops I had to go through with AT&T especially after them reassuring me on Friday Night that all was well. There was no reason to cancel one order and go through all that creating a new order. All they had to do is submit the sales tax charge to my bank again. The bank already gave the go-ahead.
Every time I order from att. Once your address is verified with them. FedEx does not require signature
For those who live in trustworthy neighborhoods and cannot be home during time of delivery. Use this signature authorization release form for FedEx. Remember, this is Att orders only, if you ordered from Apple, they ship UPS.
Just fill this out, leave instructions on where to leave it, stuck it to your front door and voila....problem solved.

Specially in gated communities, my drivers leave pkgs in front, but we also have cameras all over the place, I thank them through the 2way speakers.
Weird. I ordered from AT&T about 4 yrs ago and the fedex guy asked me for a signature. Maybe things have changed since then.

After I told myself I wasn't going to upgrade. I broke down and ordered through ATT Premier, 64GB Space Gray Xs Max. I get a better deal through our company. I went from an 8 Plus to the X and it always felt like a downgrade in screen size. I want to get back to having a large screen phone, especially for work purposes. It's processing but says it will deliver by Friday so we'll see.
No. It was more insight of the new bill, payment, how much the phone was costing, terms and conditions. It actually was a short email telling you to sign in and everything I mentioned was listed after signing into my account.
Personally, within 5 hrs from ordering I was charged the sales tax on a cc I had on file with AT&T
Same. One of the phones I ordered hasn’t charged but the other one charged within 3 hours of ordering and that charge never dropped.
In the past, I have always paid the taxes upfront. This year, when I ordered, there were no options to pay the taxes. I called AT&T and I was told the taxes would be added to my bill. I am expecting that to happen as my phone has gone to “preparing to ship”. Maybe that will be your experience as well.

Congrats.I had to cancel my first order too and place another for my iPhone Max. Later in the day. Due to AT&T issues. Mine is still processing.FINALLY!!!!

I just got mine about an hour ago. I wouldn't worry about it. It has nothing to do with your order.

Depends how you order it. I did it though live chat and gave them my cc to pay taxes up front. They can also add it to the bill.
