And yeah, your post totally made sense. Thanks for the info.Well, I put my old sim in first and it wouldn’t activate. It basically bricked the phone. It never did activate. I had to return it and get another one. When I got that one I activated it with the sim that came in it, then called att and had my mother in law’s number put back on her old SIM card, and then I put my sim in the new phone and all was well. It was a pain... but it worked out. This year I am going to activate it on the number we upgraded on and then just drive over with the sim and put it in their phone and then put my sim in the new phone.
Is any of this making sense? I recommend getting your brothers current IMEI and SIM. It’s possible that putting your sim in the phone and then turning it on for the first time will work. I might have just had a dud. I am just not going to risk that this year.
