There must be a soft cap on the GoPhone plan.

Ya there will definitely a softcap but not a ridiculous one though. I'm sure we can get 4G around ~ 10-15Mbps and LTE 15+Mbps....no point in AT&T turning on LTE Access to GoPhone and give speeds of like 1-2Mbps....because i don't mind leaving Straight talk (Getting 3-9Mbps - just did a test right now) but if I'm going to be paying for "LTE" I want 10Mbps+.

Yes T-Mobile is a great option but for people like me who travel, I like to have my "3G" all along the interstate rather than a "o" or "E" which T-Mobile gives as it has next to no coverage out side of cities/towns/counties....

AT&T New GoPhone $60 Unlimited Plan + 2GB 4G/LTE Data!

There must be a soft cap on the GoPhone plan.

AT&T doesn't say it, but they do in fact throttle data speeds on their prepaid network. That is why I took my old iPhone 3GS over to the postpaid side.

Just to let everyone know I am now running this plan on my new iphone 5. No unlockit.nz needed either. At&t set it all up over the phone.

Glad to hear it worked out for you, AriGold.

we know they throttle...but not to ridiculous point of like 1-4Mbps....as I said earlier....

If we can get 3-9Mbps on Straight Talk which is a MVNO we definitely should be seeing far better data speeds on AT&T's own GoPhone service.

My Straight Talk Monthly billing cycle is due soon and been rooting to get this plan but I know if I ditch my Straight talk plan by porting over my number ill be giving up the SIM as its a AT&T one, was really hoping to get lots more feedback for users going on this $60 plan as they said it offers LTE...so if anyone reading this is on the $60 plan please share regarding:

- 4G (Speed)
- LTE (Yes? and Speed?)
- Visual Voicemail?
- Can you tether at all?

4G only - seems to be no where near as fast as it should be.
No LTE.
Visual voicemal - yes.
No tethering.

Inorder to get LTE you have to add your imei to their network. I went to the store and they said that there is no LTE Apn settings for the GoPhone so LTE cant work.

Tethering

Please don't hate me for saying this, but if you are willing to jailbreak your iPhone (if possible on your firmware) and install tetherme, you can activate native tethering and it will deduct from your data plan. If you use something like PDANet, it will also activate tethering, using your data. This is done through using the data APN.

This way, tethering works without problems, and it is one less headache ;)

Will let you know about that, store people are probably not aware (its entirely possible) but AT&T announced that GoPhone $60 plan will have LTE access...and 1 member so far has confirmed LTE Access on another thread so ill update once I hear back from them as I requested LTE Speeds

Yesterday I spoke with ATT & Apple and my LTE and 4G works perfectly.

The first one is my 4G speeds and the second is the LTE speeds . These tests were done in the past few minutes .

Straight Talk. Bye bye

This networks has always had high ping

I'd like to transfer my number, is it gonna be complicated?

this isnt exactly the arguing thread guys...you all are just pointing fingers at each others and not getting anywhere....

anyway this plan is great for people like me who are on Straight Talk (AT&T SIM) and pay $45+tax/month....roughly $50/month

What I plan to do:

Ditch Straight Talk (AT&T SIM) and go with AT&T GoPhone Prepaid $60/month.

Refill from Callingmart or eBay and save $10-$20/month from $60 and pay about $40-$50/month with access to LTE and International Texting. 2GB is great for people like me who dont tether much. Right now I stream music 2-3times a week, drive 20-40 miles weekly with Google maps GPS on, and do all my emailing, browsing etc on my phone daily and use roughly 700MB-1.3GB/Month.

So people who have usage like mine, this is a great deal!

Not to mention I cannot leave AT&T because of T-Mobile extremely spotty coverage along Interstate highways and I can never be without my phone stuck on "o" even for 15mins...If I'm paying for a phone service no matter how less I'm paying, it needs to give me better than "E" on my most frequently travel routs/locations and that only AT&T gives for me.

EDIT: I use WiFi where ever I can get it if its fast enough for my things I'm doing like at home I have a 27Mbps Connection with that I never have to use my Cellular Data.

What is that "refill from callingmart or ebay" that you guys are talking about?

I'm definitely switching, would like to know about that.

Refill = Top-up

Some sellers on ebay sell $60 refills for as low as $42 (lowest I've seen) usually via Classified listings (It will have a "BUY NOW" button inside the listing when you open it.

and Calling mart usually has 10% off of $60 plan...so your still saving money, if you sign up for calling mart plan they also give you points (100 points = $1 saved) that combined with 10% off = great savings on this great plan!

Not to mention no tax at callingmart and no tax on eBay.

I'm definitely going to move over asap!

Thank you.

Sounds pretty good!!

My ST plan ends 07/16.. Any ideas on how to transfer the number?

Do you lose data network after the 2GB ? , or after you pass the 2gb , you will get lower speed

Should I get this?

Yes thats the one.

It shouldnt be a problem , Since they are still using the same network. The only thing you might have a problem finding might be the Account number , but I think its the underlined numbers on your sim card.

Is this legit? Sounds too good to be true.

BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WITH BUYING REFILLS FROM RESELLERS!!!!

If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. It's widely known that some sellers, mostly on eBay, are using stolen credit cards to refill users accounts. If a seller asks for your phone number and other info, it's probably what they are doing. Callingmart is legit. You can also get refill pins from pageplusdirect.com when you sign up for their wholesale account (quick and easy) and they sell refill pins for the $60 plan for $52.20. So if you're going with a reseller for refills, go with ones that will send you the refill pin, and if a seller asks for your phone number or account login info, I'd likely steer clear.

I've been using Callingmart and eBay to refill my phones for years. eBay guys can sometimes be sketchy but if they have high feedback is the only reason I use them.

Also calling mart has a coupon "ca3p-1207" which works all year around and gives 3% off on any already available discount!

I've never transferred my number but I will be doing it before you on 07/11 so will let you know exactly what I did :)

also use coupon ca3p-1207 on calling mart to get additional 3% discount.

Can you tell us if these features work:
- Personal HotSpot
- LTE (& Can you share a Speedtest app screen shot of speed?)
- MMS
- Visual Voicemail

I have this plan (not on a iPhone yet, though will soon) and LTE/MMS/VVM do work. I got 30 down / 20 up on speedtest.

I switched from ST (my MMS wasnt working right and didnt want to deal with them since it was an issue on their end) and I'm definitely happy so far. Who doesn't love LTE :D

Btw, I transferred my number from ST and it was painless. You just have to set everything up through CS vs their website.

That's awsome! regardless of the phone LTE is amazing! I cannot wait to start using it :D.

Lets see what the future of H2O, RedPocket, Straight Talk, Net10 looks like since this is a deal breaker! Being able to access direct network rather than MVNO's bs. Not to mention I wonder how T-Mobile MVNO's will deal with this ordeal...since T-Mobie will/is directly taking its MVNO's customers I bet already...now with this option...
