i ordered mine at 8:30am est and am getting it tomorrow so unless certain colors/configs are more plentiful than others (i ordered gold, 128gb) anyone who lives reasonably close to texas and hasn't gotten an update yet and ordered before I did should expect to see their phones by tomorrow as well.

I ordered mine within 4 minutes after ATT allowed it, so it was 6:04 am my time, 8:04 am eastern time. I got the Pacific blue 128g and the delivery date is Oct 26 to Nov 2. Still says "in process" and no change. What I don't get is people that ordered after me are getting updates and shipping info? You would think they would ship them in the order that people ordered. That is only fair for those of us that set an alarm to order first thing in the morning. I do have hope I will get it tomorrow because I know in the past the ATT page didn't update until the day it arrived. But I will be frustrated if someone that ordered after me gets it and I don't.
 
I ordered a Pro 256gb in blue at 5:02AM PST on 10/16 and it processed at 5:04AM. Still saying in progress and showing 10/26-11/2 delivery date. Right after I ordered, I realized I could've reserved a phone for pickup at Apple tomorrow but then it was too late. Gah.

Hey, I ordered at 8:01, same phone, I just contacted AT&T and all they said is that by tomorrow we should get shipping confirmation, meaning it likely won't arrive until next week

I did similar, I spoke to ATT rep on chat today and after a long hold i was told yes I will get it tomorrow, I asked about a tracking number waited again for a long time for the rep to come back and say they didnt have one but rest assured I will get it tomorrow. She then gave me a $10 credit for having to wait. I don't have much faith in the reps words but we shall see. FYI I also checked my UPS and fedex tracking manager and nothing shows.
 
I ordered a blue iPhone pro 256gb at 7:58AM est. Still says processing. I checked the verizon forum here and their comments looks very similar to ours. They seem to be having the same issues.

Update! Just checked my order and switched to “Preparing to Ship”!

12 Pro in Pacific Blue in 256; ordered appx 8:01 ET

Still showing 10/26-11/2 est delivery and nothing yet in FedEx

It also sounds vague and a lack of comprehension on the chat rep’s part (i.e, the norm). But hopefully you are correct.

The rep was able to send me tracking info and get my shipping info sent to my email, while the ATT order status was still saying preparing to ship! I highly recommend that you get in touch with a chat rep and let them know you haven't received shipment confirmation (if that is the case for you).

Presumably you didn’t try FedEx Delivery Manager first? Many of us were able to see the tracking number at FedEx well before AT&T changed the order status to Shipped and emailed shipping confirmation (mine was available at FedEx since Monday, showing a 10/23 delivery date). So I didn’t need to use chat to confirm.

I had been trying FDM since yesterday afternoon! When I got my shipping confirmation today I immediately realized the problem and felt stupid: The package has my husband's name on it and not my own. Same address sure, but since the names were different, no wonder it wasn't showing up on my FDM. I enrolled into FDM with my name, not his.

I knew I should have went with Gold! I’m assuming everyone who went with Pacific Blue Pro with a 256gb capacity is still waiting for shipping confirmation?
I ordered one on 10/16 4:58am PT. Delivery tomorrow 10/23. Through FedEx but not Irving, TX. Coming from Indianapolis through Ingram Micro which I believe AT&T uses for distribution. I’m in WA.

I ordered the same exact phone at the same time and I feel exactly the same way, I been calling customer service like no one else, I’m a very patient and friendly person
 
Now I'm pissed. On chat the rep said there were stock issues and that's why my order is still in progress. I ordered at 8am CT.
