Quick question: Should I use the SIM that will come in my 12? Or replace it with the one currently in my 8 plus?

Finally hit preparing to ship for my 256 pacific blue pro ordered around 4:23 pm on the 16th. No shipping info showing up in Fedex or UPS yet, but I’m in DC so hopefully it is coming from Philly and there is hope it arrives tomorrow!

attempt to activate the phone as it comes. if you have problems, try the sim.

if you ordered from att it'll be fedex, and it'll be coming from ft. worth, tx.

Ordered 08:05a last Friday. 128g graphite. Att shows in progress but just received fedex shipping info from Ingram Micro in IN for tomorrow. Original date was 10-26 / 11-2. Just got the shipping info 10 mins ago so they’re still updating.

Mine showed in progress forever until I just checked today! Now it shows preparing to ship. Does this mean I'll get it tomorrow? Fedex delivery manager doesn't like my address for some reason so I can't check there. I also checked by using the reference number as my phone number and that didn't work either.

My 256 Pro was on my delivery manager for 2 days before I got an email that it was shipped so there’s a good possibility you’ll still get it!

Now I'm pissed. On chat the rep said there were stock issues and that's why my order is still in progress. I ordered at 8am CT.

i still think it's likely you get your phone tomorrow (all these phones will be flying out for overnight delivery, so p much anywhere in the CONUS is within reach) but you DID order an hour after it opened so i guess it's possible. but i'd still be confident were i you.

Just hit up the AT&T live chat since I wanted to check something anyway, and I got a far less helpful response. Just, in fact, a wider window than I had, anywhere between 10/23 and 11/02 (which hey, I guess at least they gave me a few days this way). Definite unacknowledged language barrier at work as well, but could not get her to give any sort of firm date for either shipping or delivery. Delivery Manager also showing nothing, at least when it isn't constantly logging me out.

And, I think now I'll just end with my order info for reference:
10/16 @ 1205, 128GB 12 Pro Pacific Blue, Lexington KY

Some people are reporting shipping out of philly area or Indiana so I think there are some other options besides TX this time.

Not always true. I ordered through ATT, 2 phones at the same time. One is coming from Irving and the other from Indianapolis. I live in Texas.

Finally got my second phone shipped so one already in transit from TX and one being overnighted from Ingram Micro in IN. Both set for tomorrow delivery.

Pro silver 128- ordered at 805 on the 16th. Still says in progress and nothing from fedex. At this point I’m assuming I won’t get it launch day. Such is life

It’s interesting to me that my friends who ordered the same phone days after me already have tracking numbers.

I'm hopeful this is just a logistics exercise, in that those closest to a distrubution facility get there tracking/shipment confirmation last. I'm sure they have some sort of logistical process that figures out which phones get labels created for them and in what order to get them all delivered tomorrow.

They can do a lot these days with the availability of information/data, and could even label and have FedEx pick up phones from a distribution facility by noon and still deliver them to the local area before the end of the day.

That being said, AT&T could do a lot better with providing customer information, and giving us all reassurance that we will get our phones on launch day and not have to chase them down to see where they are at. I can imagine all the CS hours this is costing them.

The only other thought is that AT&T wants to save some money, and are going to use COVID as the excuse for not delivering on launch day (rather than spend the extra $$$$ to get all the preorders delivered on launch day).

Finally moved to preparing to ship. 256GB Pro Pacific Blue, ordered 7:57ET. Nothing in FedEx delivery manager. Dates still say Oct 26-Nov2. I'm in Ohio.

You made me feel better than AT&T customer service. You would think nobody talked to them about the preordering process or the logistics behind it. I have more information than they do.

ah okay, i didn't see those posts!

They definitely seem to just have a script. Some of them seem to know more and offer some info, where others clearly just read the order status page and that's it.

I ordered 256gb Pacific Blue Pro pretty late on Friday morning, probably around 11 EST.
Got shipping confirmation from AT&T this morning at 4am & will be delivered tomorrow to Ohio.

So my phones were delayed because I was porting in 2 numbers. The order specialist reapplied the port numbers to the phones and said I will definitely get the phones tomorrow, plus I should see the tracking information tonight or early tomorrow morning. She went as far as saying she guaranteed I will get the phones tomorrow.

We shall see! But positive nonetheless.

Hey, I ordered at 8:01, same phone, I just contacted AT&T and all they said is that by tomorrow we should get shipping confirmation, meaning it likely won't arrive until next week

Thank you, that will make me mad if its not till next week. What's the point of preordering if we can't get it on launch day. Especially if we ordered within minutes of preorder.

I did similar, I spoke to ATT rep on chat today and after a long hold i was told yes I will get it tomorrow, I asked about a tracking number waited again for a long time for the rep to come back and say they didnt have one but rest assured I will get it tomorrow. She then gave me a $10 credit for having to wait. I don't have much faith in the reps words but we shall see. FYI I also checked my UPS and fedex tracking manager and nothing shows.

Okay, thank you. I may do a chat as well.
