I wonder if I am the only one here that ATT is using the Uniter States Postal Service for the carrier. Anyone else?

Also, I am in north Texas.
 
You all will love this. I ordered my wife’s phone around 3 pm on launch day. Mine at about 6 pm. Her initial estimated delivery date was 10/30-11/2 mine was 10/23-10/30. Yesterday I looked and mine was preparing to ship hers still said in progress. Today hers switched to preparing to ship. Nothing further though. Both got the graphite pro 128 gb. Good luck to all waiting on their phones!

oh and checking the *6737# process shows them both to be on back order!

UPDATE! At 2:12 fedex manager sent me a text that mine will be here tomorrow

Well I don’t feel as confident that I’ll receive my phone tomorrow. Just spoke with AT&T rep and she was pretty confident that I would NOT receive my preorder by tomorrow and that I should receive it in my estimate of 10/26-11/2. I ordered IPhone 12 Pro 256gb blue on 10/16/2020 at 8:05:09 a.m. ET. I’ve had a status of “in progress” since I preordered. If it means anything, I live in Virginia.
 
It really seems like this year more than ever it depends what model you ordered more than the time of order

I was just thinking about this. ATT never has had a really good system for “when” or the time you order it and how and when it gets filled. The only way I can see it being without it just being a mess. Is there is a line for each sku. So let’s say I order a 12 blue 64 and pro 128 blue at same time.Both those get put into separate lines for the phones. And 64gb line is shorter then 128 so it gets filled first. And stock of each play a part. I don’t know, seems that’s the only reason for the different shipped times.

I think their infrastructure is a hot mess. I interned there back in the day and they had such a hodgepodge of systems from each acquisition that were never unified for even simple internal processes.

That’s interesting because I live in Philly but mine is coming from Indiana. It’s their money I guess.
Mine is also coming from Indiana, even though the Philly area would have been much closer.

I have always ordered from Apple and so I’ve only heard stories about carrier order chaos. Definitely not exaggerated. It makes zero sense and seems like a logistical mess. Hopefully everyone that ordered on the 16th gets their phone tomorrow. It is still possible. I really wouldn’t trust the customer service reps though. They can only see what the computer tells them and the computer dates do not seem to be accurate at all.
 
I don’t think they would either. Though I was with Cingular for years before they changed to AT&T. I best most folks who ordered on the first half of the 16th at least will get it tomorrow.
It does not matter when you ordered it, I ordered it 3mins after went live and just talked to att and they said it'll ship tomorrow with delivery 22nd-24th. Such bullcrap

So it ships on the 23rd but could be delivered on the 22nd or the 24th. They now do time travel delivery and can make fedex deliver on weekends without an up charge?

Update: sometime in the last 30 minutes since I checked, ATT site updated to preparing to ship. 128GB Pro Blue. I live in MI. Nothing in FedEx delivery manager yet.

Pacific Blue 128GB 12 Pro just went preparing to ship at 1:00 pm CST. location is 30 minutes south of Fort Worth TX. Still nothing in FedEx, however. but I am sure I will get it tomorrow.

I ordered 10/16 8:18 am. I ordered silver but they are sending blue. And in progress since I ordered. I hate AT&T and will be canceling my service with them. The only thing they do right is charge you.

128gb Pro Gold, ordered at 7:05AM CST on the 16th. Still no progress on the two pros i ordered. The two 64GB 12s did ship though.

Sorry 24th-26th. But the ATT chat rep said he made it so the phone will ship today and I'll get it tomorrow. I have his info in case he is wrong

How do you find out if Fed Ex has a label for you? I signed up but dont know where to check.
Make sure you enable text updates for labels created and it will text you as soon it shows up in ur account. And it will show just on ur main page under All
