Carrier AT&T iPhone 12/12 Pro/Max Pre-Order/Order Status/Delivery Thread (2020)

Yeah just got off a chat with a rep and this man said he didn't know how anyone could be having their phone already being shipped and arriving tomorrow because the phone releases tomorrow. I guess someone doesn't understand how their own company works lol

Second Update - Both show shipped now, with the one ordered earlier (but shipped later) showing an earlier delivery time. Everyone just be patient. If you ordered launch day, more than likely you'll get it tomorrow. AT&T obviously has weirdness to their shipping method, but the madness seems to work for them.

Nope, mine still says "in progress"

So the last 8 years I have been doing this with them. Not one has not been just all jacked up. They have a really terrible internal system.

Just got message from Fedex due for delivery 10/23 by 8pm. AT&T was Oct 26- Nov 2 yeah

The logistics of doing exactly that would likely be impossible to do promptly or cost effectively. With multiple distribution centers, multiple models of product, being routed all over the country and FedEx loading 10’s of thousands of boxes, stuff is likely to get loaded and scanned out of order. Have hope, if you ordered the morning of the 16th you’ll likely see it tomorrow, even if you don’t get tracking until tomorrow.

Just did a chat, and first they said it was backordered, then they just told me what it already has been saying since I ordered it, ship date of Oct 23-30. I asked if they could do anything to get it here tomorrow, and they said no, as there was no way to guarantee that. <sigh>

Mine was still processing about 2 hrs ago. As it is mines coming from PA vs Texas in years prior

Unfortunately, the chat and phone reps really have no additional info on when you will get your order. Seems they see what we see.

I guess I got somewhat lucky. Literally ordered mine yesterday morning when I tried to use my AT&T app to pay my bill (and was essentially FORCED to view the upgrade options, which is how I found out about the whole $800 off deal).

Just notified that mine has shipped out of Irving, TX, and will be delivered NLT 4:30 p.m. tomorrow. :)

Just saw a blue iPhone 12 64GB ordered afternoon of 10/16 get the email notification that it was shipped. It's still moving folks!

My iPhone 12 Pro 128GB graphite says preparing for shipping on AT&T with an estimated ship date of 10/23-10/30. I got my fedex tracking number already & it says that it should be here by 8PM tomorrow from Indiana.

Do they ship overnight or is this a mistake? Indiana is pretty far from CA so just don’t want to get my hopes up.
 
Anyone have thoughts as to how late today we would be able to see a change to "Preparing for Shipment", and still have it arrive tomorrow? In other words, what is the FedEx cutoff time for it to make it next-day?

Seems the flow is:

1. Status changes on AT&T site from "In Progress" to "Preparing for Shipment".
2. FedEx label is generated and shows on fedex.com Delivery Manager.
3. AT&T site (eventually) updates with shipping info.

ugh I hope I get my fedex text soon... been preparing to ship since 1130-12am... live in VA so I would assume ship from PA.

As a newcomer to AT&T (and iOS, for that matter, but I won't hold it against Apple), I'm kinda regretting the choice. If Verizon wouldn't have forced me to get a new number I'd probably be on their service anyway.
