Mine changed to "Preparing to ship" mid-afternoon today. No email notification of the change though.

Hoping the best for you too. Learned my lesson this time. Planning on buying all future iPhones directly from Apple's site and picking up at my local store. Only want to use AT&T for service and NOTHING more.
Update - so the return box hung out in NJ and then PA forever before arriving in ATL 9 days after shipping it. So I called ATT to complain, and they have a team that's clearing my number to be upgrade eligible again *before* they get the phone back. So its possible to do that, I just don't know if it will be cleared in time. I have to port a number into ATT as well so will get the pro max with that no, and probably the mini when the upgrade clears - but it remains to be seen if the mini sells out in 2 mins tomorrow.

I'm a little surprised AT&T will clear a number before receiving and processing a return. I hope things work out for you timing-wise.

me too - I was actually chatting with them online via chat, then they had some order department call me who at first told me they couldn't do anything, didn't know where the package was going back, etc. Then they suggested to transfer me to loyalty when I "threatened to cancel service" to "give me something off on the bill" - which loyalty didn't do. Instead, they gave me a case no that started with CMXXXX_XXXX, etc and told me that they would clear the line for an upgrade and to expect a text/call etc within the next day. Another rep called me a few hours later to let me know that they were "working hard to clear the line" for an upgrade but the standard time was 72 hours (which would put it to complete on Saturday, at which point pro max's would be extinct like dinosaurs probably). Of course, I will be adding a line so that I can get an order in tomorrow, but I hope there are some Mini's left on Saturday - need one for my runs.

I’m ready to get the order placed. Doing an upgrade swap with one of my kids’ phones, so he’ll get my 11PM and I’ll get the new 12PM. Hopefully I can get the new 12PM delivered sometime close to launch day, as my wife‘s 12 Pro should be delivering sometime between next Friday and early the following week.

Has anyone who had their phones shipped from Ingram Micro in Indiana received their phones? If so, when did you get it versus when you got notification it had shipped? Phone config is iPhone 12 Pro, Silver, 128gb.

I got an overnight shipping label in my FedEx Manager yesterday at 1pm, and FedEx also sent me a text saying I have a scheduled delivery today by 8pm. However, there is no tracking info updated. It’s still on “label created,” which tells me they don’t even have the package. I’ve shipped packages via USPS before and tracking never once updated until point of delivery. So I guess it’s possible I can still get it today, but I’m not wanting to get my hopes up.

When did preorders change to 8am EST from 3am? I would have been pissed if I woke up that early for nothing

I won’t have time to order online in the morning , but plan on going to AT&T tomorrow after work. Will I still be able to pre order late in the day at the store ?

Okay so i’m looking to upgrade mine and my mothers 7+. Should i upgrade thru at&t’s website? or go thru apple?
How does going thru apple and doing the at&t installment work? My mon recently got a apple watch and we got it on launch day thru apple and they wouldn’t let us finance thru at&t installments as it was either buy it outright or finance thru apple card.
Is the iphone upgrade with at&t installments allowed if you buy off apples website?

I was a little hesitant to place the order on AT&T prior to 5am. But I’m so tired and my SO was like it should be fine. iPhone 12 Pro Max 256gb Pacific Blue. Ordered went through at 4:32PST. Received email confirmation right away. Delivery 11/13.
