Trade in question:

I just noticed that my iphone XR that I want to trade has a crack in the back glass (took case off for first time in a year and low an behold a damn crack at the bottom). I have two options: 1) File an insurance claim for a lost phone and eat the $200 deductible or 2) Try replace the back myself using 3rd party rear glass kit. I do have experience in screen replacements (done a few over the years) but not rear glass. Wondering how much they scrutinize these trade-ins when they receive them. Anyone know?

would you be committing fraud by filing a clam for a lost phone that you currently have in your possession?

You just saved me a ton of hassle. I suddenly remembered an email I got from AT&T on Friday (release day) morning stating that the trade-in kit comes in another 5-7 days.

Trade in mailer comes via the post office and looks like this. Read all the instructions ie turn off Find my iphone, etc.

So Best Buy screwed up and added a line instead of upgrading it. So I had to go back today and they couldn’t return and reprocess but blue phone but upgraded my line with a graphite Max pro which is fine. Honestly surprised they have so many in stock but Springfield OR isn’t a huge town so maybe that’s why..

I finally received my iPhone 12 Pro Max today! I really like this phone. I had a XS Max. The size is not much bigger than the XS Max. But it’s noticeable faster. I haven’t tried taking pics as yet. That will be my next thing to do. ?

My order for a 256GB 12 Pro in Pacific Blue is still "in progress" from 10/27. Estimated ship date 12/9-12/16. Anyone else still waiting for an order to ship from AT&T from around that date? I would've bought it already from Apple or Best Buy, but since I'm on a business plan, AT&T was the only option for me. If I order the same exact phone right now, it looks like an estimated ship date of basically the same time frame!

received my iPhone 12 mini the other day. Setup was a breeze. I want to check out 5G speeds, but apparently there's no 5G available in the north Phoenix/north Scottsdale/Cave Creek area. So I've just been putting it on LTE only mode. Guess I'll switch it to 5G when I travel some time

My account isn’t serviceable in stores due to a FAN agreement
That is odd. I have a FAN account with AT&T and I have never been told that a store couldn’t work on my account. I modified my plan and traded in my old iPhone X in store just yesterday. The only aspect of modifying my plan that they said that they couldn’t do in store was removing the AT&T insurance from my daughter’s phone. They said that I would have to call customer service to do that.

I ordered the same phone. The day I ordered 11/5, the dates had moved from Mid Dec to 11/30 - 12/7. About the same as Apple’s site. Weird that yours hasn’t updated. Maybe you’ll get it way early.

That's awesome! Good for you. Unfortunately, the status/estimated shipping dates on my order haven't changed. Enjoy your new phone.
Its messed up that AT&T treats us as low priority and delays our shipping just because we are part of a so called "premier" business plan and hence may not switch the carrier easily like an individual would...

Talking AT&T on an exchange ( You can't exchange, that have to due it as buyer's remorse and you have change something...color, memory, size, brand, etc...before they will because of Apple's Day 1 warranty), they said Pacific Blue wasn't available til 11/24 for shipping (Max, 256 GB). I was able to get a Graphite Replacement shipped immediately.

I hate sending trade in phones via mail. can't we just bring them down to an at&t store?
We physically handed over both of trade-in phones for 12 Pro's to the AT&T Store, after we received delivery. We didn't actually get any instructions, packaging, or anything inside the 12 Pro deliveries.

That way, they went through the full inspection right in front of us. I'm not sure if this sped up the credits, but we were given credits immediately on the first month.

PSA: even after we explicitlyrefused AT&T Next Up during the purchase at the AT&T Store, lo and behold, we had $5/month subscriptions automatically added to our bill this month. Definitely not cool, AT&T: rather scummy, honestly.

We called AT&T, they cancelled both Next Up subscriptions, and (rightly) refunded us the $10 charge they added (which would've grown to $120/year had we not checked our bills to see if the trade-in discount had been activated).

Yeah, I totally agree. It's also ridiculous that business customers have to purchase new devices from AT&T directly. Best Buy and Apple should definitely have the access to our accounts.

Got my phone yesterday and love it!! Gonna try and ride this one out for a few years. Also, I had to call AT&T to change my plan to take advantage of 5G and actually ended up saving some $$ by doing so.
Same here- i did a phone order on this monday to order a 12PM 256GB in PB and, with apple’s shipping times for that color and combo around Dec 10th, didn’t expect it anytime soon. Just got a shipping notification that I'll get it tomorrow, 3 days after ordering it. Not bad.

I called the store and was told that because I had placed my order online it would be best to mail the phone so everything can be recorded correctly. I've done upgrades at the store before and for some reason they ALWAYS add something, whether is ATT Next or Insurance.

I have to order my phone through my work (Premier?) and my work didn't have the new phone in their system for us to order until Friday morning. This morning, I finally got my confirmation from AT&T. Estimated shipping date: 12/8-12/15. ? (Pro Pac Blue 256GB)

anybody else still waiting on the 12/12 pro order from October? My estimated ship date remains unchanged.
