Ah. Here we call that a broiler. :)

Seriously? I know there are language differences between the countries but I never knew grilling was one of them! What do Burger King do in the USA instead of flame grilled?

I had a grilled gammon steak with fried egg for my dinner this evening. :)

Curiously, they call them "flame broiled," but the pictures on the commercials show a grill.

I think etymologically speaking, the "grill" is technically the grate that sits above the heat source. Here in the States, if you say" grill" people are going to think you mean one of these:

That's Fuzzy14's point.

Burgers should be advertised in the US as "flame-grilled", since they always show a burger being flipped over a grill (with a black background?) on TV ad.

Isn't it weird that Burger King is basically telling the world that their burgers are "oven-baked"??

This thread turns 8 years old in 2 weeks. Pork fat rules!

That's gotta make it the longest constantly running (single) thread on MR surely?

I haven't actually eaten bacon in a good week or so, I was wondering why I was feeling drained and weak. I need to get my Swanson on.

One of the greatest meals I've ever had, was on a cold and wet quay at Harwich waiting for the ferry.

Two bacon butties:D

I have never been able to recreate the taste here in mainland Europe :(

Don't step into the kawoosh...
I loves me some bacon. None of that crappy store bought stuff though. Need to get it from a real butchers shop.

I usually get my bacon when I order half a hog to put in my freezer. Best value for the money and you end up with the best stuff that way!!
