ImageUploadedByTapatalk1347666360.250574.jpg not sure if this shows a bit of inaccuracy in the app. Used the phone for about 6mins when it hit 1% then it turned off after being idle for another 10 mins.

So, i restored the ipad, then jailbroke it again, but using redsnow (previously i used absinthe).

Guess what, my battery capacity increased from 5900 to 6100 after one full charge and a charge from 98% to full again. It's probably going to keep increasing, i did the same thing on my iphone 4 today and i'll report back after i run a few cycles.

the ipad's capacity is now 6250 mah, after another full battery cycle. in my opinion the battery drain was caused by the absinthe jaibreak tool, so i would strongly recommend redsnow for jailbreaking and other operations.

I know you said it was only your opinion that the absinthe jaibreak tool cause the issue but I have used it on both me iPhone 4s and iPad 3 and never had any issues with battery life after the jailbcreak, other than the normal ware and tear that you expect to get.

I didn't get bad battery life either, but when i checked with battery info lite, i saw the battery capacity decreasing waaay too fast. With redsnow jailbreak this doesn't happen and the general battery life is a bit better.

My ipad is now 5960 at 43 cycles, so i guess the jaibreak is using about 8% of the battery and that's why it shows a lower capacity. I don't care too much because the battery life is great.

How can the jailbreak affect the battery max capacity? unless the jailbreak is based on a battery exploit. It may drain the battery a bit faster in idle. I don't see it doing much else. I think any misreportings are due to variance. There's way to get the same reportings continuously after charge cycles.

I didn't say it phisically affects the battery, just that the max capacity decreases because of a process which is constantly using power - the jailbreak.

That's great. How do you usually charge your phone?

With my use I charge it to 100% from about 20% every two days. I always use my iPad charger so I don't have to carry two chargers. I only have a few jailbreak options installed.

What's this tell ya?

I had this on my original battery, jailbroken too. But one day I made a reboot and everything went downhill from there. Got a new battery (old one was at over 220 charges), it's at 1350 mAh max capacity at 44 cycles. Still don't know why I can't fully charge it.

Is this normal?

Ive only had my iPhone 4S for 3 months and I get:

DESIGN CAPACTIY : 1430
MAXCAP: 1327
CYCLE COUNT: 69

I already asked APPLE if I can get a replacement, should I be worried? I installed this app because battery life I find is pretty poor...

Yeah, it's normal, at least from what this thread states. Keep us posted if you get a replacement for your phone

Is this good?

I got my iPhone 4S on October 11th and wanted to know if this report from BatteryInfo Lite is good or not? Please advise, thank you.

I don't think it's very good. AFAIK the battery is supposed to keep at least 80% of its design capacity until its 1000th charge. And now you're at less than 95% after a mere 10 charges...

inselstudent, thank you for the response. I let the battery die completely down twice since having it. Could that have something to do with it? If so, what can I do to fix it?

There's definitely something wrong with my battery. Here's another report only two days later and it seems that my MaxCapacity has gone down even more! WTF is happening?

I think it may be due to the fact that I've let the battery die down completely twice since having it. inselstudent, do you or anyone else agree with this statement?

I really don't want to bring it back to Apple to have them look at it. They don't touch JB'd phones so that means I would have to upgrade to iOS6 and that's not something I want to do. Please advise, thank you.

I let my battery zero out all the time and it hasn't affected anything.

B2FiNiTY, Really?

What phone do you have and for how long? Mine isn't even two weeks old yet.

Could you post your report from BatteryInfo?

I let my battery run out entirely sometimes and it hasn't had a bad effect on my battery health so far. According to Apple'a website you're even supposed to let it run out completely at least once a month. I think you simply have a lemon, go and swap your phone.

So I brought the phone to the Apple store and had them look at it. According to their Behavior Scan software the battery reads "normal", so it didn't get swapped out.

Now I'm stuck on iOS6 with no jailbreak & possibly a crappy battery... great FML! Now I'll have to wait for iOS6 to be properly JB'd before JB'ing again.
