i did a reset all settings even though its a clean install to see if this improves battery life.. will report back later.

It's not an issue with the raise to wake function. Battery life was absolutely fine on the build before the GM/Public Release.
There's definitely something up with this build and you'll just have to wait until they fix it.
Notice how I put "Turning off Raise to Wake increased my battery life back to what it was."? IME, It increased my phones battery. YMMV.

I did that as well as a DFU restore yesterday and it didn't matter... 6S+ here and I was at 50% with 2 hours of light messaging use. Nothing out of the ordinary for me as I've had 10.0 since beta 1 so I wasn't playing with new features more. There is an obvious battery issue that seems to be effecting 6S/+ users here.

I've had that off and it still was an issue on a clean install, setup as new.

Like many, also having huge battery drain issues. I thought the "Turning off Raise to Wake" was maybe an answer but not so. Already had 3 chats with Apple support over it - the last one advised a full wipe and restore: no difference - this morning already dropped from 100% to 75% in just over an hour with minimal use. Have sent a DM on Twitter to @AppleSupport with a link to a Twitter search on iOS 10 battery issues: https://twitter.com/search?src=typd&q=ios 10 battery

I am looking forward to the 'bug fix' update to iOS 10 in a few days ....

Just going to chime in here - my battery life has been cut in half of what it used to be.

I can't get through a day without draining it; needs to be on the charger all the time. Will drop below 20% in less than 5 hours. Especially with pokemon go. I mean, pokemon was a battery suck before, but my phone still lasted longer than 5 hours.

Made an appointment at apple, but i think they'll just ask me to wipe and restore yadda yadda yadda, probably just waste my time.

I'm on a launch 6S; its 10 days away from being a year old.

iPhone 5S - Never had a beta installed on the phone. Public release of iOS 10.

My battery life is noticeably shorter on iOS 10 than it was on 9.x

Yeah. The reason I ask is because mine is still collecting logs which, I suppose in theory, could be causing battery drain.

Have you reported this to Apple?
I don't have the tools installed to verify this but I've seen it mentioned more than once.

Ive tried wiping and re-installing - but the phone (6S) is sucking power like no ones business. Lucky if I am getting half what I was??? WTF?

After one full day of iOS 10 (10.0.1) on my 6s I don't notice any major differences in battery life. I will report back after a few days, once my usage has gone back to normal (I'm still exploring new bit of iOS 10 wich definitely makes me use my phone more.)

I had my iOS 10 since public beta 2 and I have experienced battery issues on my iPhone6 (dropping from 80% to 30% while recording 1080p 60fps video for 5minutes), but after I recalibrate the battery, it helped and its back to "normal".

There's definitely something majorly wrong with battery life on my 6S on iOS10. I just hit Airplay to play a song to my AppleTV, and wrote two iMessages, while writing the messages I watched my battery drop, a few percent at a time from 50% - 39%!!!

I haven't done any troubleshooting yet (resting settings, etc...) as I was hoping it would fix itself after 24 hours but looks like I need to start the process.

Seems Apple is aware of it, I've been speaking to engineering via Bug Reporter and they're looking at my battery logs.

Getting really fed up of it now, luckily my 7 Plus is coming tomorrow!

Mine seems to be doing alright after a day or so.

Granted mostly listening to music (streaming on Apple Music). Better than most here though no idea why.

There is definitely something up, I opened messages, and an app at 85% and used them for maybe 15-30 seconds, closed the apps, looked at my battery life and it was at 80% lol.

My phone isn't getting warm, but I've definitely noticed a drop in battery life on my 6s Plus.

My phone had dropped to 84% by the time I got to work in the morning yesterday so I plugged it into my computer. About an hour later it was at 87% and after using it for about 10 minutes it dropped to 86% (while charging).

Today seems a bit better, but I had my phone plugged into my car on the way to work this morning. I also ended up turning the phone off and on yesterday.

iOS 10 has definitely caused a decrease in battery life on my iPhone 6. One of the culprits seems to be Siri. In the last 24 hours, the battery usage shows Siri using 20 percent but I never use Siri. "Hey Siri" is turned off, so that's not causing it. That never happened in iOS 9.

Mine dropped from 100% to 48% in 4 hours with no calls....and only occasional checking of e-mails. I just got back to the house with 18% - where typically I would have 60-70% by now....

Something is wrong with iOS10
