Horrendous battery life on both mine & my wife's 6s Pluses. Mine apparently due to Messages, and hers due to WeChat. A user a few posts above shows their Music app taking up the majority of the battery use, so it seems its not due to a specific app and may be different for each person.

I have a 6s Plus, my battery life is less but not by much. Maybe around 30-60 mins at most.

I was browsing internet on WiFi, listening Apple Music (stored locally) through speakers, brightness was at 100% and I watched my battery 1% per 30 or less seconds. Oh, it's even 6s Plus!

Setup: 10.0.1, which was setup as new just yesterday.

Now I am charging my phone via USB on my Mac and it charged 10% while writing this post.

WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING ON?!

Same issue here. I used to have much better battery life pre iOS10. I even did a factory restore and still getting poor usage. I used to get 7-10 hours when I was under 50%.

This is on my 6S Plus.

Noticeable difference here as well from iOS 9.3.5 to iOS 10.0.1 (never used any betas) on my 6s Plus 64 GB. Even overnight it discharges much faster.. used to be around 5% while sleeping now its at least 10%.

No. I upgraded to IOS 10 on my 5S the first day of release, and I have tried to maintain my level of usage as near normal as possible. I would guess that my battery consumption has increased around 10-15% higher than before. I expect that to improve as time goes on and the phone has a chance to adapt.

I did that as well as a DFU restore yesterday and it didn't matter... 6S+ here and I was at 50% with 2 hours of light messaging use. Nothing out of the ordinary for me as I've had 10.0 since beta 1 so I wasn't playing with new features more. There is an obvious battery issue that seems to be effecting 6S/+ users here.

I've had that off and it still was an issue on a clean install, setup as new.
Again, YMMV.

My 6s Plus has definitely been draining faster even when not in use overnight then it was on 9.3.5. Upgraded Tuesday at 1:30p ET, and has still been that way. Performed a couple hard resets, etc.

You guys are just using your phone more often now... And much of you are logged in in icloud which ist the biggest battery killer. Also your location services are turned on with all these battery hungry services. Most of you also have the background refresh turned on. If you tweak ios 10 then its better than 9.3.5

Wrong, try again.

I find weird drains that happen sporadically. I'll look down after not really doing much of anything and 10% will have drained. Then other times it's just as efficient as 9.3.5

Yeah, my battery has taken a hit, as well. Running down a lot faster than normal, even with normal use. Hope they address this soon.

Have you reported this to Apple?
I don't have the tools installed to verify this but I've seen it mentioned more than once.

Yeah I did, after I did a bit of testing. Worse still, the diagnostic logs were "stuck" on mine and couldn't be removed even with Xcode. I had to remove the beta profile, erase everything and start over. I had ~3gb of logs just sitting there eating space.

Exactly. Semi-scientific tests have already proven that, at least on the 6S/6S Plus, battery life has indeed improved.

Okay, because I didn't turn off everything in iCloud except contacts, turned off location services completely, and background refresh turned off, along with many other things I've posted in my previous "How to get better battery life thread" which everyone said was POINTLESS... And guess what, my 6S+ still dies.

I wish that was the case. However, having been on iOS 10 since the first beta, there's no "newness" to it for me, so no, I'm not using it more.
