what color is better in person? white or black?

I feel like the white would be easier to find in a bag, but black is beats classic. what do you guys think

I think that it depends on the look that you want. I was going to get White or Purple to be seen but I saw a video that picked gray. Gray better fits my personality. I originally wanted them to be seen so that people wouldn't bother me walking in the city as they would assume that I couldn't hear them.

Damn this is such an obvious and amazing point. I might just get white because it will be more visible with my skin color/hair.

This way normies won’t brother me or try to talk to me at all!

Mine arrived today. Pairing was as simple as expected. Noise cancellation is excellent.

I wore them walking and could put my hat on without them coming out unlike my AirPods Pros. I could take the ski cap off and they stayed in. Again, unlike my AirPod Pros.

Personally I think they sound better than my APP's. One thing no one has mentioned is that since APP's push into your ear, they can push earwax further in. That is not the case with these.

I haven't run with them yet, but I assume they will be fine.

These push into the ears as well.

Question for APP owners: Is it easy to knock out your AirPods taking a mask on/off by accidentally hitting the stems? So far, this appears to be a non-issue for the stemless BFP.
Oh yes, happening to me all the time... Mainly when taking the mask off. But also when taking off a sweater etc.

I've had these for about a week now and compared to my APPs these sound definitely better. The APPs sound muddy compared to these and I never cared for the mid range boost that is applied to them.

It's interesting to me that it seems a lot of people are saying the ANC is just as good or better than the APPs because to me that is not the case. Switching back and forth between the two the APPs ANC is noticeably better which is a bit of a bummer. Maybe they can bump it up with a software update.

I agree.

The sound on the Beats FP are much more to my liking. By leaps and bounds. So much it’s what’s making me want to keep them. That’s said,…..

The APP ANC blocks out more. Not sure if that’s because how they fit or that the ANC is better but when music is off the BFP let in much more noise than APP.

Also, the BFP sound noticeably worse on phone calls. Maybe not my voice to the other end, but what I hear of the caller sounds more staticky and hollow.

I noticed this in one of the YouTube videos I saw where they did a voice comparison between the two. I'm just using these strictly for working out and use the phone normally for calls.

For what its worth, the Beats Fit Pro are currently what I always wanted the AirPods Pro's to be. Solid enough portable headphones with good ANC that stay in my ears. The AirPods Pro's just inevitably fell out of my ears, even with custom foam tips. Just something about my ears I suppose. These stay very well. Did 2 hours of woodworking yesterday - no issue at all. Could never do that with AirPods Pros. I also find them no less comfortable than AirPods Pros. AirPods 2's are much more comfortable to me, however these are certainly no worse than the Pros.

I like em. They aren't complete game changers for me like AirPods originally were, but these are a nice upgrade.

I have both and ANC seems the about same to me and both are using the same H1 chip. I have tried multiple comparisons in different settings.

Maybe it is the way people are inserting these in their ears and fit with different shapes/tips.

Overall I prefer BFP with improved sound and they stay in my ears much better. With APP they would start to slip out, especially with any talking/eating which defeats ANC on them anyway. And they fall out when working out. BFP always stay in for me.

Right- I was thinking about that as well because the APPs have those oval ear tips that for me fit better since my ear hole has an oval shape so maybe they just fit and seal better. Thats not to say the BFP don't fit well, according to the seal test and what I'm hearing they do and are comfortable but maybe its just that much off where it's not as complete a seal.

Yep - I could never get APP to pass both ears on fit test….tried all types of different tips/brands. BFP passed the fit test first time for me.

Tough engineering challenge for these earphone makers…..

I own all 3 (AP2, APP, BFP) and will likely keep the BFP. All 3 for my ears fine and i e never had any of them fall out.

The AP2 are perfect for phone calls. Like perfect. Easy to throw in the ear and never have to worry about getting the right fit.

APP were my go to for flying because of the ANC but if I was working at my desk would still pick up the AP2 For calls because of everything I said earlier. But if I was going to listen to music APP were the leader in the clubhouse. Much better sound with the isolation of the tips

BFP sounds so much better now for flying and casual listening but I don’t want to give that up. I’ll keep the APP and AP2 around for phone calls. The BFP is definitely somewhat disappointing on phone calls comparatively

agree with your note on ANC. it's far better on my APP. with the BFP i still hear a lot of outside noise. i ran 7 miles with them today and hear tons of wind, cars, etc.

Yeah, for phone calls on my end and Siri saying anything to me BFP doesn’t sound so good.

That's my experience as well though I don't know if ANC is on or not. I never did anything to turn it on or off so I have the default setting.

I want to hear some of what is going on around me outside though.

For some reason, I hear far less ambient sound when inside.

I did street sprints on a windy day with transparency mode activated and came away impressed with how little wind noise I had. Interesting that you and others have the opposite experience.

I tested BFP and APP on calls from inside and in a moving car. People on the other side said I sounded the same and sound was excellent. I could hear them fine. I have not tried outside in the wind.

Also I did change the soft sounds settings to medium. Maybe that helps

transparency mode lets outside noise in. so, i'm unclear on how that mode would be blocking wind noise.

in my case perhaps the BFP just aren't going to fit right and create a proper seal and i'll send them back. i have the same issue in my home. my office has some network gear with fans and the APP with ANC on pretty much blocks it out completely whereas with the BFP i still hear a ton of fan noise. holding the BFP and APP side by side the design doesn't look drastically different so it's a bit confusing why i can't get a proper seal in my ears.

It’s probably a seal issue for you.

Yeah, I was blown away by how the wind didn’t interfere the way it clearly would on my Solo Pros even just walking down the street with wind in its transparency mode based on how it pipes in outside sound. Beats did say somewhere, can’t recall where, that they made improvements when it comes to wind with the BFP design. I expected the wind to be amplified with transparency mode engaged, but it was a total non factor.

People hearing me on calls say I sound great, but it’s *their* voice quality and Siri’s voice quality for my ears that is a little lacking/lifeless. Maybe Beats needs to tweak it a little.
