I would like it if it was like a real pen size with a clip you could put in a shirt pocket.

Would be great, interesting thing is Samsung had this very thing with their partnerships with Mont Blanc on the Galaxy Note 4 launch back in 2014, they had the Montblanc e-StarWalker and Montblanc Pix for Galaxy Note 4 accessories:

Don’t know what happened after that, seems their partnership was a short term one, but it made so much sense just wish they had both been in this for the long haul as they could have been doing some pretty cool stuff by now.

EDIT:

The above makes me realize how old I am, I literally got the Note 4 on launch day and I had just finished university and in the 2nd month of my first job, seems like it was just a minute ago but it’s almost 7 years now, crazy!

I just like it for colouring lol I can’t draw. Obviously even for colouring my iPad Pro and iPad mini are better and I have an Apple Pencil for each one. However I also had the note 10 plus for 8 days. I liked the idea of being able to pull out my phone and do a bit of colouring no matter where I was. That’s why I want an Apple Pencil for the iPhone.
If the rumors are correct, you might have your iPhone Apple Pencil sooner rather than later. 😳😜

You’ve just made me feel very old with that post. I had also just finished university when that phone launched but it wasn’t the first time I’d finished.

I live in Alaska, and I haven't had any issues with my iPhone 12 Pro Max in cold weather, not even at -15F. So I'm calling BS on some of these claims that the iPhone can't handle cold weather...
Thank you someone finally calling out all this false information.

I wish I had so much free time I could spend it posting in forum sections on items I have zero interest in ever owning. And to constantly think up comments putting items down so I can justify my choices and preferences to random strangers who couldn't care less about me.

To be honest, I used to do the same. And I used to leave the laughing emoji everywhere because I thought that was an adult way to "win" and prove I'm right. But then I turned 7 and knocked it on the head.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to leave comments on Justin Bieber fan tweets. I can't have people getting enjoyment from an artist I couldn't give 2 ***** about.

Pick your phone, any phone. Enjoy it and ignore what biased people who think they have superpowers behind a screen think.

I love my S21 Ultra more than any device I’ve had but the one thing that kills me is the lack of attention some devs give to their android apps. The android version of DJI Go won’t connect to my Mavic 2 Pro but my iPhone 12 Pro Max has no issues at all.

To devs, whats an android phone or tablet. that's the long and short of it. They do the minimum on android. Which sucks. On my samsung tablet, the readly app is very basic where as the ipood app has page flip etc.

I’m in Texas where it gets super hot in the summer. I’ve had my iPhone overheat and shut down just from a day out at the park.
I had both my iPhone 11 PM and Note 20 Ultra on my boat last year (in Texas also) at the same time and both of them overheated and shut off. This is nothing specific to any one brand. Shutting down to cool the phone off when it gets too hot is not a bad thing.

Not sure why the thread becomes an argument about extreme temperatures. Lithium ion batteries are well known to behave erratically in extreme temperatures, regardless of the phone. Keeping the phone powered might damage the electronics or even the battery itself. If your phone managed to stay on, that's just luck of the draw.

Not really. I still disagree with you about the battery life.

Would people rather go with Oppo Reno or Samsung A72? How's Huawei nowadays since it doesn't have any Google services? They used to make some great phones.

Spring chicken. I was working when the motorola startac was a thing.

Me too Steve. Work issued us the Startac in 1998 if I recall correctly. Nice little attenae on those.

Currently I really enjoy my Samsung Galaxy S10e with its 5.8 inch screen. Unfortunately they no longer make this model. Everything now seems to have a 6.5 or 6.7 inch screen. I don't want something that size.

Actually my first phone was the flip phone brick. Can't remember the name now but it was Motorola. I had it in high school. The a52 is not that much bigger size wise and really nice.

The regular S21 is 6.2". Not as compact, but not bad in the ocean of 6.5"+ phones.

My 11 pro Max never shut down. However last summer when it was hot the screen would dim to the point where you couldn't use the phone because you couldn't see the screen.

A few years ago, when California was having a drought we drove down from San Francisco on the 5. The temp in Silicon Valley was 105+. When I didn’t want to take the phone with me, left the iPhone under the seat never shut down.

My iphones of every number have shut down If I left them in my jeep in the summer. It's not a phone thing is a safety thing.
You misunderstood the point. It's not a safety thing. If it's a safety thing then it tells you. My iPhone 7 was like 60% when it suddenly turned off and showed that the battery was out of charge.
Same with iPhone 5s, iPhone se (2016) and it hasn't happened on Android phones.

Never had that happen to me, I’ve been using iPhones for 11 years, you must be really really really unlucky. 🤷‍♂️

Are you talking about the phone shutting down in heat?

In cold during winters. It can be even late autumn and everyone I know has had this problem. My dad now hates all Apple products thanks to iPhone 7 that randomly turns itself off during winter even though the battery is almost full.
I was disappointed as well with my iPhone 5s and SE 2016. I skipped iPhone SE 2020 for the very same reason. Someone told me that iPhone 11 has a good battery life and I'm considering in buying this. XR still has bad battery life. I asked my friends that use XR. They'll go Samsung soon too. It's much easier to go Android if you dont use a Mac.
