My order from 9/14 is still "In Progress" and my in store pickup order for today still says "Pre-ordered." Very frustrating.

Best Buy Pre Order for Series 4 Apple Watch?

I just got shipment confirmation on my 44 SS S4 w/ white sport band. I ordered around 12:40 AM on 09/14, but never had an estimated shipping date. It just said "Will ship when available". Interestingly enough, I ordered the same product from Apple and received order confirmation almost 30 mins early at 12:14 AM, but had an estimated delivery date of 10/05-10/12.
I preordered a Space Gray Sport, BSB around 15 minutes after preorders went live on the 14th. From the time I ordered until just last night my status was "Will ship by Fri, 9/21". Last night it changed to "Order received - We'll let you know when it ships". Shout out to the guy several pages back who messaged overnight that the Best Buy website had watches available for in-store pickup today because I ordered the same watch around 2:40am EST and picked it up just after my local BB opened this morning. I also ordered a SBSS last night for store pickup around 50 miles away and it was just cancelled. Status said it was in stock for store pickup, and my CC was charged, up until it was cancelled. My preorder cannot be cancelled so whenever it gets here I may either return it or sell it on Ebay when it gets here.
Finally shipped!!! Waiting on UPS pickup to see my expected delivery date, but I've got a feeling it'll be Monday or Tuesday. At least they kept their second promise for "ships by 9/21"

Way to keep us in suspense until the last minute. Regardless the 9/21 folks are getting their Watches pretty fast (next day), Best Buy still mishandled the entire situation and I'm sure they lost quite a bit of pre-orders in the process.
If only they were on top of communication...
Yep. Almost lost mine until I couldn't cancel it anymore. A simple email telling us that they were actually shipping today with next day delivery could have saved a lot of preorders for them and time/anxiety for us.
I don’t ship to my home because of package theives so everything comes to work. Unless it shows up today, Monday is my earliest. And store pickup was not an option when I placed my order.
My first original order still says preparing. I went ahead and ordered another and have a shipping notice within 30 mins. Sadly I can't cancel the other one so when it comes in I'll return it to the store. It comes Wednesday so I'll have to wait a few more days. 
My guess is that even if they do, they are fixed displays. You might want to hit an Apple Store if you plan to try it on.
