I got my griffin survivor today and man what a nice case. It def. adds bulk to my 6+ but that actually makes it easier for me to hold. The silicone also helps give it a really nice grip in my hand.

I had it in my front pocket all afternoon and I can say with as close to 100% confidence that I possibly can that the phone will not be bending any time soon.

I would def. recommend this case for anyone who is looking for the best protection currently available.

How flush is the screen protector and how much of a lip does it have? Also any issues with call quality?

I actually just bought teh pelican Voyager for my iPhone 6 Plus. So far it seems like a good case. Hopefully when and if I drop it , It would not get damaged.

Can you post some pics please?

I got the Griffin survivor as well. I have used survivors before, and this is the best one yet! Much thinner than the one for the 5/5S, and the screen protector seems to be a better quality, and sits flush on the screen with no haloing. It really does not add much weight to the case compared to the Otterbox which is much heavier and has many issues with fit and screen protector performance.

This is a really nice rugged case.

I'd definitely consider the survivor, but I'm not so sure about the screen protector part. I already have the Zagg glass on there... I wish there were an option to get the survivor without the screen protector!

Supcase Unicorn Beetle comes with a holster, port plugs, and built in screen protector for $20.

Their iPad cases have gotten hundreds of positive reviews on Amazon.

I have this one arriving tomorrow, but the 6 Plus wont be here till Thursday. I'll try to post impressions when I get to use it.

screen protector is pretty good for the most part. There's is a slight loss in image quality compared to no screen protector from it but I think that is to be expected. It sits flush on the screen with no gaps and there was a slight rainbow effect but that was only after it was in my pocket for a while.

The case is about 174mm x 94mm x 18mm with a 5mm lip.

I'll snap some pics after work. tomm but I know someone already linked to some he/she took on this thread.

I can't answer at call quality as I haven't made a call yet with the case on.

Thanks for the reply and the details!

What color did you get?

I use the survivor all-terrain with an extra glass protector inside and it's ok.
Or you can cut the survivor screen protector if you want.

I guess its better to buy two cases one for the office which is much thinner and not bulky and one for outdoor activities such as mountain hiking and others

That is pretty much my need as well, but the cases have to be easy to get in and out of.

The case is a 1/16" Longer, 1/16 Deeper, 1/8" Wider. So not too noticeably more than the Otterbox I had.

1.The rubber is softer.
2. The power buttons and volume buttons are much easier than the Otterbox. They operate as Apple intended now.
3. The headphone jack is centered, and accommodates larger "headphone barrels".
4. The closing flap for the lightening port is a very easy to get open, and I worry that perhaps over time it may fall open freely.
5. The Touch id sensor is protected by a film, and it feels of better quality then the Otterbox. It does appear that it will NOT wrinkle like the Otterbox film did. The sensor works fine without needing a relearn process.
6. The lightening port is larger and wider and can accommodate my 10 foot aftermarket cable from Monoprice, which has a barrel wider and thicker than the OEM Apple cable.
7. There is protective plastic frame around the camera and flash.
8. Pulling up the control center is much easier with no plastic around the Touch Id sensor like on the otterbox. Hassle-free in a pinch.
9. There is protective fabric grill around the earpiece speaker to keep out dirt.
10. The proximity sensor during a phone call also works great.
11. The facetime camera is behind the plastic screen cover and appears at this time to not affect the camera quality.

I give this case 4.5 stars out of 5. My only concern is the lighting port flap could should require more effort to open to keep it from falling open by mistake.

I am considering this case as an option to my cosmetic protection only leather case but it will have to be relatively easy to swap out as to not wear out the case when doing so. Is this a realistic expectation of the Griffin?

Update

Loving my Ballistic Tungsten Slim case.

Dropped my phone last night from at least 4 feet on tile. Hit the edge and bounced with no damage. Whew.

As others have said (I think I said it, too): The 6+ is so much EASIER to handle and pick up with a case on it.

Cheers.

Here's some photos of the Griffin survivor. Sorry they're not the best quality but I did them fast on my cheap point and shoot.

Not sure how much trouble it would be but I would love to see the 6 Plus beside that Griffin Survivor and also on top of it to get an idea of how much it ads to the size of the phone.

I have the Griffin Survivor All Terrain case coming soon, but again I ask the question that seems to go unanswered:

How easy is it to take the case on and off? How many steps, parts, how long?

Reason I ask is that this case will only be on about 2/3rd the time, snowboarding, climbing, hiking, etc. The rest of the time I will use the leather case like when traveling, driving, at home, etc...

As a matter of disclosure to the customer, Griffin should show how the case is installed, but they do not.

Compared to previous griffin cases it's very easy to remove the case. 6 tabs to unclick the front. Then place case over hand and gently press on centre back of case. Phone comes out really easy.
