I have 2 leather (saddle brown and night blue) and 2 silicon (black and rose red) apple cases. I love all of them but I prefere the leather one because they get no lint and I love how they ages and changes. I like patina on my saddle brown after 3 months! Yesterday I bought also the night blue. If you like leather cases, I suggest you to buy only these colors: black, charcoal gray, saddle brown and night blu.

How is RhinoShield SolidSuit for the iPhone X in terms of bulk and thickness compared to other similar cases, i.e., ones from Spigen, Patchworks, Speck, Supcase, Otterbox, etc…? I usually rock minimalist cases like the Pitaka MagCase, but I’m still trying to find a drop protection case that checks all my boxes, one being my bulky and thick.

I have the saddle brown and black Apple leather cases. I always buy these for my iPhones and always go back to using them despite owning loads of other cases.

I have the black leather, which feels the best imo. It just isn’t durable enough for me. Someone who works out frequently and is sweaty, the case doesn’t maintain its look.

For a protective case, it’s slim. It’s slimmer than the Mous and Nomad Rugged for example. I can’t compare it to other cases, because I don’t have those...

RhinoShield SolidSuit users, is your power button also slightly less clicky than the volume buttons?

Good to know. Thanks for the feedback!

It's very slippery i returned mine. I didnt see the point of a bulky case if its going to slip out of your hands. Looks good though. UAG is about the only protective case i end up sticking with, has grip and is light and not too bulky.

Mine were the same when i had it.

The difference in my buttons is really small. The feel is the same, but the sound is slighty more clicky for the volume buttons. However, I am just nitpicking now.

I didn’t get a Mous case, since I have the SolidSuit now, but a good friend of mine bought one.

I actually like the Mous a little more. I think it would be more durable in a big fall. It also seems somewhat more grippy.
Don’t you think it’s bulkier than the SolidSuit and that the buttons of the SolidSuit are better?

Is it bar soap slippery? Some of the YouTube reviewers said it’s somewhat slippery, but enough grip with the rubber TPU like edges.

Yes, it is definitely a little bulkier at the top and bottom. I think it offers a more premium feel, better grip/handling...both are great though

I'm finding the 'side-less' case a pleasure to use. If you're careful with your phone, you get maximum reachability across the device, whilst being able to admire the natural bumper of the X, & use the actual buttons on the phone. Plus, the ultra thin, anti-fingerprint, matt back cover never makes contact with a tabletop surface, so it doesn't collect any debris - less cleaning.

Positives racking up with this beauty...

I’d say the sides are bar soap slippery but the back is fine. I ended up buying the Evutec Aergo which has loads of grip but I found myself going back to the solidsuit. I’ve already dropped my X from waist height with the solidsuit with no issues and can’t keep help thinking that if it were another case it would’ve been destroyed.

There is one distinct similarity which is not good. The customer service From’s mous and Evolutive labs are both awful. Two of the most non-responsive companies. There is a reason that although I’m no longer a huge otter fan, I respect that company. Their responses are immediate and helpful.

For me, Evolutive Labs (RhinoShield) was very helpful! I contacted them about a missing button, as I said earlier. Within 2 days a new set of buttons was shipped. They even added an additional set of buttons of a color of my choice. So great for me.

I’m glad to hear that. With them, it’s been below mediocre. With Mous, much worse. They are by far my 2 favorite cases....but the companies leave a lot to be desired.

I agree with you on mous, I defy anyone to try to easily return one of their cases. It took me nearly 2 months to get a refund after sending back a case, I will never again buy one of their products no matter how good it is.

I was unfortunate enough to have a match with Evolutive Labs. My issue wasn’t that big but pretty convinced my eight year old could run the place better. It was s mess. Horrible

Not astheticly pleasing nor decently functional when walking with the X in front pocket. Not ideal as I use various equipment in a public gym (membership).

Pipetto has a magnetic folio case with detachable inner shell. The folio had magnets which are strong enough to hold the phone if it's open like a book. DocArtisan has a case where the magnets are in the hard shell and not the folio. They have a video on their site showing the phone attached to the inside of the hood of a car.

Slightly better suggesion, yet unfortunately like Eeyseeyou's suggestion above, it means I'll still need to go around the gym to affix mounts before I can actually attach my phone.

Right now for seated/standing (dumbbell, hammer, barbell - supinated/pronated - curls) I can just set my phone against the dumbbells by the mirror and use either camera and run recording vai Apple Watch.

What I'm looking for is a case that by itself can
mount to a metal frame of gym equipment (Smith / squat rack, leg exention, lat pulldown etc) and then I can begin recording myself while I'm doing a set.

This is VERY helpful for holding myself accountable, seeing proper form to execute the right function I'm after. Sure I can have a gym buddy but mine have different work hours and sleep hours each day than I do. Furthermore, getting a random gym rat - you never know if A) they'll pay attention to spotting you when you need it most, B) they know HOW to spot properly (if you have to ask or even think how difficult this can be; you haven't worked out long enough or really pushed yourself hard enough), and C) I'm particular about others' hygene near me (I don't want to smell balls while I'm bench pressing or armpits when I'm squatting).

Looks like I'll be hunting for a micro-suction case or find a way to turn an existing case UAG into one.

I've been using the RhinoShield SolidSuit for a few weeks now and still like the case quite a bit. As many others have already noted, it's extremely slippery - I already dropped my phone a couple of times while taking it out of my pocket. Fortunately, the case did its job.

Spigen.com just announced the new case for the iphone X. Can't wait to get my hands on one.

https://www.spigen.com/collections/iphone-x/products/iphone-x-case-classic-one

Won't be available to order till 6/14/18.

Looks really cool but I'm way more fond of the C1 based on G3
