Couple of pics of the Elago clear case. It's pretty close to the form factor of the phone, but equally as bad a finger print magnet. It has a small .5mm lip on the screen, which if you have a screen protector makes it pretty flush. Nice feel in the hand though.

I fully recommend Tech21 cases. I had the same one on my old 6S+ for 2 years and I have the current Evo Check on my IPX Silver.

For the Evo Check, both colors are great and the grip/drop protection is stellar without adding tons of bulk.

Thanks!!

I Purchased the OtterBox statement case from Apple on the night of pre-orders. It's half clear on the back with some leather. I bought the black one. I have the same exact case on my iPhone 7 Plus and I loved it. It looks nice against the black of the phone and it offers great drop protection. I have dropped my 7+ plenty of times and the the phone was well protected. The glass screen protector cracked. On the 7+ I thought the case was too bulky but on the iPhone X I think it fits perfectly and it does not get in the way of the gestures.

I've had many cases on my various iPhones for last 10 years and I am extremely pleased with this case. I love the feel and the protection of the OtterBox statement series that is sold exclusively right now at Apple. I highly suggest you check it out.

How is it putting the case on and taking it off? How are the buttons?

I checked out a few tech 21 cases for my X. The issue was the same as with all others. The bottom is just downright flimsy. That would drive me crazy.

Speck's Presidio Grip is great, but man is it IMPOSSIBLE to get off. To the point where I feel like I might be damaging the phone's water sealing.

I bought it to be my case for the gym or out some nights, but not sure how practical it is to frequently remove.

If you're looking for a dead simple TPU case, Best Buy's Insignia case is excellent. No branding on it whatsoever. Nice grippy texture. I think $20?

I grabbed mines from 'P DuJour', in purple. They seem to do a lot of colors, but the others seem to ship later in the month
Figured I would do a review, but, I received my order on time actually, in a day (since they shipped it to me from a state over). It was a padded envelope that was stuffed. I ordered it thursday night when I came across the page, and it arrived Saturday. To my surprise, I had 2. They included the "Passion red" one. both cases were packed in a plastic like bag that reveals the case which is really vibrant, actually transparent and nice looking. Im loving the purple though. The case is really transparent without the phone, but once you slide it in it fits like a glove. I recommend inserting the phone in volume side first. Once inside the plastic really "Molds" around the phone. The feel of it is really nice.. for plastic and its thin-ness. Its like really smooth and flat. The look of it is really nice actually. They seem to do a lot of colors, but the others seem to ship later in the month. Its not thick enough to survive a drop, but it has that flat feeling that keeps it from moving in your hand. if you look really close its like bumpy. I wish i had a case like this back when I got my first 6+. I remember I had just got on the bus, and the driver had been a little too heavy on the brakes with one stop.. the phone literally flew out of my hand from the lack of grip + oily metal.

Clear Tozo case with the silver rim looks awesome on the silver X but the sides of mine are loose. Contacted the seller on amazon and they’ll be sending me another one in a couple days, will update if that one fits better. Probably my favorite clear case I’ve ever used since it avoids that bulky halo effect around the bezels so I’m really hoping the fit on the next one is better. It works with 3D glass screen protectors, I just messed up the install on mine so I replaced it with a 2.5 one until I can get some more of the 3Ds.

The ETA of that is NUTS

Nothing but saddle brown leather. Anything else is a fail.

Yes I loved my 7plus saddle brown. Looked great and well worn. Also had the black and find it keeps its colour. I might buy a saddle brown for my x sometime but for now have the black. I’ve ordered a BookBook which is the nicest leather I’ve known so far.

Thanks - bought.

Damn - I bought 6 cases before I even got my phone, and now I’ve bought 3 more :)

Returned 3 to amazon though

Spigen ultra hybrid - returned as not as slim as the ringke
Spigen air - returned for same reason
Ringke air - returned as it had a bit of a blue tint and not as clear as I wanted

Ringke fusion - kept for now as decent clear case. Still thicker than I want and the sides obscure the silver edges due to thickness

Caudabe lucid clear - best looking, super slim and shows the phone off nicely. But slippery and no front lip protection (this is my biggest issue and I’ve contacted caudabe to see what they say - they advertise it with a lip)

Spigen thin fit (metallic red) - looks great as a contrast to the black and silver. A bit slippery and some front lip but not much. Bit shiny for me but a good looker

Spigen thin fit (white) - still waiting from amazon but based on the red I have high hopes

Apple saddle brown leather case - very slippery in the hand and I don’t know if I like the opaque covering over the white back. Expensive too (all the other cases out together probably cost less than this). Jury's out but will probably go back.

Tozo clear with metallic edge - just ordered so let’s seem but fingers crossed.

All I want is that perfect slim clear case to show off the phone but provide good protection, with a front lip, and decent grip in the hand. Not much to ask for surely?

So many requirements! Good Luck on finding one! Let me know when you find it! :)

Posted in the other thread but here’s a coupon for this weekend only. If you’re still on the fence about the lucid clear, get it. It really lets the phone shine through. I ordered another one to have as back up just in case it scratches or turns yellow.

Thanks for posting this. I ordered the Sheath from them.

That kills all Tech21 cases and has been their issue for so long but yet everyone fails to mention it. I review cases on my YouTube channel and have tons coming up.

I don't notice that on my Evo Check at all. It's on my phone right now and there's nothing wrong with it.

I also had the same Evo Mesh case on my 6S+ for 2 years and never had that problem.

YMMV, obviously.

Currently using the speck presidio grip on my X and have the presidio ultra coming tomorrow. Heading out of town, so want to give the ultra a shot. I really like that you can take the bumper off and still have the presidio case. Excited to give that a go too.

The speck cases have the best fit imo.

you are quite lucky. It was the first case I tried on my X, and nope, still too flimsy.

Yeah sorry to hear that. I'm also getting the Presidio Grip case sent to me so I'm excited to try that one as well.

My cat keeps watch of the package that just came in today of my silver Spigen case that goes with a Spigen screen protector :) looks really nice in person and leaves the top, bottom, and buttons exposed. With AppleCare, I wanted a minimal look and I found it :D

Nice cat! I think I have the same case but in matt gold. Really like it as similar to the gold of my MacBook and my i.am buttons+ Earphones and gives me the look of a black and gold iPhone that Apple just wont release!! I had the jet black version for my 7+ but had to replace as it broke. the gold is already slightly scratched on the back but at £8.99 I don't mind replacing in a few months.

Some pics of the Spigen Hybrid Armor case in Gunmetal. Really good grip all around including, surprisingly, the back PC panel (the gunmetal part). I was also able to fit in a metal plate for my magnetic holder between the PC panel and the rubber case.
