Anyone else get a lifeproof next? I was using the apple leather case until I realized if I dropped it I’d be putting out quite a bit of money for a new screen. The case adds some grip but also some size. Feels like I’m holding my 7+ again.

I feel these cases aren't as necessary as they once were with waterproofing and durability improvements of devices. Understanding individual preferences, I am in no way knocking it as an option I personally will never purchase another lifeproof case. They have a fake plastic horrible screen protector which takes away from the beauty of the device unless they have since changed the design. There are many cases that offer great protection that's much more affordable and cosmetically appealing.

I'm using the apple saddle brown leather case and it looks beautiful, especially with this wallpaper.

Debating Ringke Fusion Clear and the Spigen Ultra Hybrid? Anyone have any thoughts?

I have a Spigen thin fit on the way today but thinking I may want a clear case to show off the phone.

The Next and Slam Lifeproof cases are no longer waterproof. Lifeproof's attempt to go mainstream since most phones already have water resistance.

Trying to find a really nice leather sleeve. Not sure if I want just the phone or phone and accessories. A singular spot for my device and/or stuff - but when I’m using my phone, it comes out of the case.

I’ve looked at Bellroy, HardGraft, and SENA. Anyone I’m not considering?

Have a look for Kavaj, or Media Devil.

Pretty much identical hard back, TPU bumpers. I kept the ringke and returned the spigen as the spigen seemed a little thicker and I wanted the phone to show through more.

Spigen thin fit in white is *super* slippery. I also have the metallic red which is more matt finish so less slippery. Think the white one will never get used.

I was really interested in this case, but it seemed extremely bulky in the photos. Also, I really couldn’t justify the $80 price tag (in the end, it’s just a case), so I opted for this one, instead:

https://www.catalystcase.com/collec...tection-case-for-iphone-x?variant=45220587470

Unfortunately, it was shipped from Hong Kong, contrary to Catalyst’s statement that they ship from US-based distribution centers. Mine shipped last Thursday and still hasn’t left Hong Kong. This Saturday, I’m heading to Europe for 2 weeks and was really hoping to have this case by then. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen.

Amazon has them in stock if you think you can cancel the order. Worst case you can return the Amazon case once the other arrives.

Yep, my Spigen thin fit just came and it looks nice, can see a lot of the aluminum around the phone, access to buttons and i like the magnet slot in the back as it's the car holder that I use. I also like that there's not bottom lip, just the corners. It is slippery for sure which is a concern. Am going to check out the liquid crystal to see if it's less slippery and if being able to see the entire phone just looks better. My only concern is potential yellowing which some folks have had.

I am a huge fan of bumper cases, since I typically like to enjoy the look and feel of the native device. There are some good ones on Amazon, including some that have metal boarders ,rubber inside to protect the phone. I am waiting for Rhino Shield to offer theirs, And only got the one I have now as a temp case since it was available and shipped to my house before my preorder did. I am honestly doubting I will want to change up, since it feels really nice in the hand, and provides the corner and edge protection I was after.

Wow. Apple Pro Speakers... do those still work after all these years? I haven’t seen them since I had a G4 cube.

Edit: this autocorrect bug is ridiculously annoying.

I really hope this is just like the iPhone 7 version. The 7+ and 8+ were really bad IMHO. This was one of my favorite cases on the 7 and pretty much used it only.

Take a look at the Patchworks Level IGT for a few bucks more.

https://www.amazon.com/Patchworks-M...47&sr=1-1-fkmr0&keywords=Patchworks+Level+IGT.

I just noticed your link to the other case. Thanks for that. Are you using this currently? I really am not a fan of visible branding, and this one isn't too bad. I just edited my original post that the Diztronic for the X really isn't good. It's a bummer.

How often does everyone change cases? I usually use spigen, and I like those, but I found them hard (in terms of cases) to put on & take off.

I’m using an Apple silicone case for the first time & it was sooooo easy to put on ( I’m assuming it will be just as easy to take off)

If this is the case (pun intended), I’ll probably pick up a leather or another color.

Has anyone experienced scratches or scuffs from changing cases often? I’m planning on just sticking to Apple cases. Thanks!

I bought the Ringke Fusion for my X, I’ve always love Ringke cases on my previous iPhones, but on the X with the glass back it leaves a watermark between the case and phone.. I heard Spigen clear cases do the same! Amazon shows this watermark in a Spigen review ...
Here is the pic on amazon
