Strange - I don’t get that with my fusion. I thought hard shell cases should be less likely to get that, and it has a patterned inside surface to avoid it

Dear All,

Today my iPhone X arrived :)

Am super happy with its response from the phone.

I was checking some websites from where to buy a case for the iPhone.

The Rhino cases seem like a good buy. Anyone here got any experience with the build quality of their cases?

https://rhinoshield.io/mod

Thanks in advance for your help.

I opted just to order it. Amazon had them for about 17 bucks, so its not much of a gamble. If I don't like the heft of the square edges of the tough armor, I'll order the slim armor. I should get the case sometime tomorrow
I got this one, less expensive and no extra bulk similar to Apple's silicon case

After a few days of using the clear Pelican Adventurer, I found the back to be a fingerprint magnet and swapped it out for the Patchworks Level ITG that I picked up on Amazon for $4 with the discount code that was going around last week. So far, I prefer the Patchworks case by a long shot. It feels significantly better to hold and, due to its texture, does not attract fingerprints. I’ll be keeping it on until my Catalyst Impact Proof case arrives.

I want something with more heft to increase the protection of the phone. I have the Apple silicon case, and its ok, but I'm not confident it will protect it from a fall.
Well! Than you got your right choice. Spigen armor series are one of best protective cases out there.

I like the black leather Kavaj Tokyo case. Certainly doesn’t seem like it’ll provide Otterbox levels of protection, but it’s genuine leather, feels good in the hand, looks sleek, and holds 2 cards so I don’t need to carry a separate wallet. Had the cognac color on my SE and it aged beautifully.

I bought the Ringke Fusion for my X, I’ve always love Ringke cases on my previous iPhones, but on the X with the glass back it leaves a watermark between the case and phone.. I heard Spigen clear cases do the same! Amazon shows this watermark in a Spigen review ...

That’s not Ringke Fusion. I bought one today and it doesn’t have these legs at the bottom and camera cutout is different

Wow. Apple Pro Speakers... do those still work after all these years? I haven’t seen them since I had a G4 cube.

Edit: this autocorrect bug is ridiculously annoying.
They work and sound great still. They are connected to my Mac Pro via a 20 amp Tripath amp. Nice tight sound with a small package, so it works well with my desk setup. I had Audioengine A2 speakers before, they sounded good but lacked crisp highs that Soundsticks make, which sadly don’t fit in this area either. They don’t have the low punch the A2s did, but, the clarity makes up for it.

They are all over on EBay, just cut the audio jack off, solder your own wires to the leads, and you have some good quality speakers that work really well. I have seen some people do light mods to them, install them in showers (out of direct water splash zones).

At the iPhone hacks section.
It's not that hard to not drop your phone. :)

For some people it is very hard not to drop it :D
I know a few that constantly crack their phones where after 2-3 repairs they finally give up and use it broken :D lol
I never broke my screen or phone by dropping it but I did drop it a few times.
Lucky enough nothing broke but accidents do happen no matter how hard you try to be careful sometimes :)

Well, haven't dropped any yet (and I've been getting them since June 2007 -- though I did accidentally put one in the laundry, oops). I can't be the only one!

I’ve always been impressed by the quality of Spigen cases so I’m going to order the 2-part Neo Hybrid for added protection.

You should be happy with it. It follows the traditions of the previous versions in that it has good protection and doesn't add bulk to the phone. The phone stays pretty pocket friendly. I was a little disappointed to find that they don't include screen protectors with the cases anymore, but oh well.

Sorry, yeah it’s not a Ringke case, I was just trying to show what the watermark looked like on my phone, the case shown in pic is a clear Spigen off an Amazon review.

I have been using Utomic Edges for my last 3 iPhones. I purchased one of their Slim cases (similar to Peel but better) waiting for them to release their Edges for the X. I can't wait to get them. They also have a bundle deal that includes a screen protector and some screen replacement coverage which I haven't seen by anyone else. www.utomic.com is their site if you haven't heard of them.

I've been through 1 Spigen clear back case since my iPhone 5, I have never seen one do this.

I have this case and I feel the edges are too tall on the screen size - it's difficult to swipe from the very edges.

Anyone any recommendations for a clear case and screen protector for a space grey X?

Been looking at potentially the fusion or ultra hybrid.

No idea where to start with the screen protectors.

Have always used Spigen previously, but not sure this year.

I have used my original iPhone, Iphone 4, Iphone 6 and Iphone 7 without cases. But I just got the iPhone X from At&T with the 30 month payment plan, and feel I am stupid for spending $1000 on a phone. And one that has a glass back in addition to the front! Apple keeps saying that the new Corning glass is super tough, but it is not going to protect me from a 3 foot drop onto even my kitchen tile!

I hate cases. What is a good case that preserves the original size of the iPhone X? Just so you know, I have used ZERO cases since I began using the iphone. I just thought I would start now since the phone has gotten way too expensive and the repair costs are rising. I don't need some Otterbox type case where I can run my car over it. I still prefer to preserve the original look of the iPhone and size over damage. I just think I should step it up a little bit in the protection category.

I would most likely prefer a super thin clear case to show off the phone. The leather cases seem kinda cool, is Apple's leather case good? What do you guys use? A search for thin cases at Amazon yields tons of results!

i have a TOZO thin case from amazon thats as thin as it can get before its called a skin. the only thing I dont like is that its frosty, not clear. they dont make clear cases this thin. the closest thing is the caudabe clear sheath or something like that, but its still thicker than this tozo. this TOZO is basically a "scratch proof" case, not "drop proof"

AppleCare or AT&T’s insurance. I don’t like cases either, so I’m not using one.
