I’d recommend you check out an X-Doria Defense Lux in either a carbon fiber finish or a leather finish. Checks all your boxes IMO. Also, about to trial the Pelican Protector. I believe it’s slimmer than the Symmetry but I’ll know for certain over the next week or two.

The Pelican Protector for the iPhone X is one of my favorite cases. Of the over 20 cases I have it's in the top 3 cases that I really like. Here's some pics of the blacked out version.

After reading through numerous positive feedbacks and watching several YouTube videos on UAG Monarch case, I purchased one at a lower cost off of eBay. Received it earlier this week and I’m very pleased with it. Before this, I had Caudabe Sheath. Although Caudabe produces great cases, I felt that it wasn’t enough to protect my iPhone X.

I’ll be returning the Sheath to Caudabe for a refund.

Which version of the monarch did you purchase and how is the fit along the bottom of the screen where they seem to be saggy for some

I purchased the Graphite version.

Fit along the bottom of the screen is fine. I’ve read about the “sagginess” issue, but I don’t have that problem with mine.

Let me put your mind at ease. One of my favorite parts about this case is that it feels tight when on but is very easy to put on and take off.

Just got the Duo Pro (gotta love Amazon Prime’s Sunday delivery!) and my initial impressions are very positive. It reminds me of the Symmetry, but with a less bulky profile and more tactile buttons. I also really like the soft feel of the case. Let’s see how it pans out over the next few days. I’m hesitant to say that it’s a definite keeper, but it’s definitely possible.

Nice. What color? I have black and it picks up some grease marks but they are barely noticeable.

Got old saggy out of the closet today. Wanted to see if my new screen protector would breath new life into her.

Have you considered the Evutec? Very similar case but mine doesn’t appear to fingerprint...
Mine has problem with fingerprints. Very good case but for me this is major problem.Of course is not the only one case to be fingerprints magnet. Just expected a better score on this field

Is the Aramid or Kevlar material prone to fingerprints or is it the coating or treatment? Any case with a soft touch or powdery touch seems to attract fingerprints, including the Spigen Thin Fit. I love the design and form factor of the Pitaka MagCase and may just have to deal with it.

I would say coating they use, just guessing. In your case i would stay to Pitaka's premium feel and look despite the fingerprints.

I reckon so.

The Spigen Thin Fit is not as prone to fingerprints, but it doesn’t have the premium feel and look compared of the Pitaka.

Glad I waited and didn’t get the Pitaka. EverythingApplePro did a drop test and the Pitaka provided the least protection of all the 10 or so cases he tested. Granted it was from a 50 foot tower but it was interesting how much protection each case afforded. I know the Pitaka is a minimalist case but I was under the impression the Aramid fibers made it stronger and more protective even with it’s minimalist design.......boy was I wrong. The Apple Leather did really good in comparison.

Cool. Looking forward to your longer term review.

This isn't exactly a long term review, as this is only my 3rd day with this case, but I feel like my search for the perfect case is over (I've said this before, but I really mean it this time! :D). The Incipio Dual Pro takes the throne as my favorite case so far and I don't think I'll find a case that I'll like more than this one. The suede-like finish (it feels exactly like the Apple Watch Sport band), the curvature of the case, the tactility of the buttons and the advertised drop protection (it's rated for 10 feet) check all marks. Of course, the case has a bit of bulk to it, albeit nowhere nearly as much as the Otterbox Symmetry, but that's to be expected from a heavier duty case. Since I don't have a YouTube channel with thousands of subscribers, I'm not about to do a drop test, but I feel confident that the Dual Pro will be able to withstand a typical drop and then some. For once, I don't feel like my case is missing something.

Thanks for recommending this case, by the way!

Nice! You are quite welcome. I said the whole “case search is over” line before too. Lol but I’m not searching the web and YouTube anymore for a new case so it must be true this time. Glad you like it!

Tonight I picked up

https://www.evutec.com/aer-series-karbon-black-for-iphone-x-afix-included.html

Really like this case. Last weekend got the Ballistic Nylon version from Target and this one this weekend. Buttons excellent, good figment, not overly bulky nor minimal, I LOVE their included vent mount as it actually stays in my vent of car. It’s actually not very slick either, matte back and no fingerprints.

I used to love Evutec cases. I tried this one. The primary reason I returned it was because I found it to be very hard to use the mute switch. It’s too recessed. Otherwise, it felt good. I could use a little less lip on the front screen, but it wasn’t awful.

My biggest thing with iPhone X cases is width. With the iPhone X being wider than any other iPhone, it becomes much harder to grip well if a case adds much more width to it.

I will say, out of ALL the cases I have, the mute switch opening on this Evutec is not nearly as bad as most. With my screen protector I don’t have much face down protection, but enough.

What X case have you found to be to your liking mate?

A rare case that addresses the grip issue is iPhone X Case (5.8"), DesignSkin [Corner] : Shock Absorbing Ultra Slim Light Thin Edge Cushion Bumper Protection Hard Cover Simple Basic Minimalist Case for Apple iPhone X (Matte Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076HHQMKZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_w8GCAbDSZZCDV
