Preparing. 3.5gb

Hope some stuff has been fixed.
Apple music tabs won't load except for Browse
Widgets stop updating at some point
Design: Square highlights in menus, Control center top gap (who wants to bet this gap won't be fixed)
Weird 'heavy' scrolling behaviour in some instances (notification center, control center, music when in album, ...) (nothing new, though)

Guys do you know, every restart folder window is shrinking, is this a bug or is there a way to fix this?

Same here latest public beta, What's new in public beta 9?

Technically Public Beta 4. ☺️ Not much new really, same build as Developer Beta 9, bug fixes and whatnot.

I have an OCD, that's the problem with this beta cycle, not having the Public Beta in sync with the Developer one. Macrumors front page can't keep it in line either, as they clearly stated PB3 in the headline and graphic, but then just seemed to re-use yesterday's Dev Beta 9 stuff this time.

I don't think we get GM until the event for the new Macs.

I feel like this beta is generally smoother than Beta 8, but ask me again in a week.

Its not Macrumours fault.. Even Software Update says Beta 9 when I started downloading it about 30 seconds ago.

For the audio folks with missing Audio Units in Logic, all my D16 and Exponential plugins just reappeared in Beta 9/4/whatever. Now I can finally use the stuff I got on sale a few weeks ago!

Yea, Apple's end has been whack, as for a lot of us, Dev Beta 1 said Public Beta 1, when PB hadn't even come out.

PB9 brings back the VPN disconnection when idle/screen locked. I don’t have that issue in PB8

that's probably good news, but... am going to check with all my 3rd-party developers. i don't want to upgrade my imac to big s, then find some plugins still don't work... and i have to revert, again. but thanks for that report!

Did Apple add the option in Mail on Big Sur to swipe right with two fingers to move an email to a folder instead of marking it as unread??

Hey Peeps!

Is anyone testing the latest Big Sur Beta on the Mac Pro (Late 2013)?

How are things behaving in general? Any minor/major issues?

Based on the current Beta, would anyone recommend upgrading from macOS Mojave, which for me at least, is running very well. I am skipping macOS Catalina entirely as Mojave runs a lot better for my use case. However, the new design of macOS Big Sur is enticing me.

I installed the first macOS Big Sur Public Beta on an external SSD connected to my Mac Pro (Late 2013) a while back, but then left the Apple Beta Testing Program soon after. I really like the new redesign however it wasn't running as smoothly as Mojave which I currently have installed. Just wondering if things have progressed since then?

Thanks for reading!

I've had all Big Sur public betas on my MacBook Pro 16 since I don't use it for real work. From my experience so far, there weren't any bugs that prevented me from doing what I wanted which is mostly browse the net, listen to music etc. The bugs that were somewhat troublesome seem to have been resolved for me and the latest beta has been very good.
