Still locking up at startup sometimes.
balenaEtcher doesn't work, neither does unetbootin.
If Big Sur is having problems with fundamental things like file and volume structure, it is nowhere near ready for primetime.
Does anybody know if Apple is watching this forum? Or is it just dismissed as the views of amateurs?
Yesterday I needed to flash an ubuntu stick. Unetbootin didn't even start up, but balenaEtcher did the work without issues (I'm on Big Sur Beta 8).
What problem did you ran into?
Agree on the fundamental things. ISO support is still AWOL, and there are a myriad of other issues.
I doubt that someone from Apple watches every fan forum (could be wrong, though). They really expect us to file radars. I have filed dozens of them, but can't say for sure if that actually helps.
I'm having this exact same issue. Anyone has found a workaround for it? It's annoying...You say Netbeans 12 is working, but as soon as I access a project properties dialog, the whole program hangs and all the widgets start blinking like crazy. I haven't been successful with any version of Netbeans on Big Sur.
Ok, I have now just done a clean install of Big Sur Beta 9 on a freshly partitioned and formatted SSD.
All seems to be working properly. It seems to be a bit snappier and smoother than earlier versions.
I tried (twice) to update BS 8 to 9 and it didn't work properly. Then I noticed that Beta 9 full install was available for download (hint, boot in Catalina, enrol in Beta program, download the full installer (12.2 Gbytes) and install from that.
I have rebooted several times, and there are none of the startup glitches where it was just hanging sometimes.
Did a full install of beta 9. Now no icloud drive options so I can add desktop and documents to fnder. Bug?

Hmm, doesn't seem to work on my Logitech mouse.Put your index finger on top of your mouse and swipe
I have no need or desire for a trackpad on my iMac. So how about for us old guys how do we show the icloud options using only an ancient Logitech mouse?
Any IntelliJ / PyCharm users? If I go to Add Confirguration... > Templates > Python & add a Script path in either IntelliJ or PyCharm on Big Sur PB8, the app crashes.
Apple doesn't "officially" watch any forum, including their own–though they do have a bunch of employees that read the website on a regular basis.Does anybody know if Apple is watching this forum? Or is it just dismissed as the views of amateurs?
