Can I add Virtualbox not working, tried just about every note I've found. it does not allow you to create a host network, even if you remove all network cards... and then try and start it it complains about the known Kernel driver not installed rc=1908 error, that I don't seem to be able to fix. Please click EDIT below to add your working or NOT working app. Please try to add it alphabetically. Feel free to also comment in a reply any additional details you would like to share.
I'm still battling with this. anyone been able to clean their system, and fresh install VirtualBox and it works,Hi, Virtualbox version 6.1.2 is not working, the same problem with the others version (beta included), the program install but when you try to run the VM appears a kernel error.

Unfortunately this workaround does not currently work on M1 Mac mini:For those having issues with Google File Stream, this worked for me on Big Sur beta 2 and DriveFS Version: 40.0.8.0. Give it a try if you have sudo powers.
To get Google Drive File Stream running in Big Sur beta, run the following commands in a Terminal:
Bash:sudo kextload "/Applications/Google Drive File Stream.app/Contents/MacOS/dfsfuse.kext" 1>/dev/null 2>/dev/null /Applications/Google\ Drive\ File\ Stream.app/Contents/MacOS/Google\ Drive\ File\ Stream &

VMware Fusion works well for me and it is free for personal use. There are few issues (see VMware Fusion Community Forum), but these mostly seem to be edge cases.hmmmmm, that does not bode well for VirtualBox.
Ignore the “player” name. VMWare changed their level names to match what they were doing on Windows and made it confusing for everyone. You can absolutely edit VMs in the free version. There are fewer features than the Pro version but there are only a couple, and unless you use those specific features, you’ll be good on the free version.Glad to hear about VMFusion free for non commercial saw the $179 price tag, compared to Parallels which is $79...
will relook at the license notes.
hmm, see if i can do that => OVA conversion, as my VBox atm is useless, hope it will at min still allow me to do this.
I see only the VMFusion player allows for registration for personal use, the player implying I can not edit my self created VM's. looks like this is a feature limited to the pro option that I don't see offering a register for personal usage. Am I missing something.

Not a M1, still previous Generation, Intel i7 based system.Unfortunately this workaround does not currently work on M1 Mac mini:
"Incompatible architecture: Binary is for x86_64, but needed arch arm64e"
As you say ignore the player name - for the Mac version. The licensing and naming is now the same for Windows and Mac desktop products, but the feature set of the Mac 'Player' is much better than that for Windows 'Player'.Ignore the “player” name. so Visio is not wanting to re-activate itself, even though I have a key. it seems to have picked up that the machine previously a Virtualbox VM is now not.Out for the morning, will have a look again this afternoon. thanks.
My primary usage is Visio, a old copy I own... and work in extensively. got the VM running with parallels yesterday, but as we now know parallels is $$$ and Fusion is not... so... found i can not export from vBox and import into Fusion, but did find the Parallels was able to open my VBox VM direct, it then made a copy, that copy i was able to then open in Fusion. heheheh hop skip jump,....
but for some reason Visio wants to be re-activated now and it now is only wanting to do online or phone, not allowing me to simply enter my key... as such it's opening the drawing, but not allowing me to edit it.

eventually build a new Windows 10 VM and got Vision 2003 (ye ye, it's old but I own the license) installed and activated.so Visio is not wanting to re-activate itself, even though I have a key. it seems to have picked up that the machine previously a Virtualbox VM is now not.

For future reference, the phone activation is annoying but not a big deal - you call, they send you a link for your phone, then you enter a really long set of numbers into your phone, and they give you a really long set of numbers that you enter into the app on your computer. They will also ask you how many machines you have the software installed on. At no point do you have to speak to an actual human, and you never sit on hold.eventually build a new Windows 10 VM and got Vision 2003 (ye ye, it's old but I own the license) installed and activated.
