I was looking at this reddit post - Game benchmarks for M1 Mac mini with 8gb ram inside!.

shows game playing and settings

Per one MBA user on Diablo 3 forums

You might update to 11.0.1 if that doesn't work try the PB of 11.1 its what I am using.

Still not loading for me. The Mac mini M1 has a different graphic card and the MacBook Air user wasn’t on the beta, so I’m still saying:

Diablo 3 doesn’t work on a MBA with M1 chip under Big Sur Beta 11.1.

I have not yet downloaded Big Sur to test it out, but I would appreciate some help regarding the compatibility of the latest version of LibreOffice, V7.0.3. That is the version I have, and from a google search about such compatibility, it's "just about 100% definitive" that it is. But I would really like to hear from someone here who actually has the latest Intel version of Big Sur, V11.0.1, and the latest version of LibreOffice, V7.0.3. If so, does it work fine?

This site also says it is compatible:

As far as I can tell, it works fine. The only difference is that LO on Catalina takes full advantage of the resolution of the monitor, while it doesn't on Big Sur.

Piccies to come.

Ok, here they are.

You can see that the same version of LibreOffice 7.0.3 displaying the same file doesn't properly anti-alias the text under Big Sur. For comparison I have included Pages on Big Sur displaying the same words.

(BTW, the green background for the BS version is just a nice working background colour that I lifted from WPS Office)

Other than that, I hve not noticed any real performance problems with LO 7 on Big Sur.

Thank You! Much appreciated!

Wonder what will result when the next version of Big Sur, V11.1, arrives. Should be soon.

Thanks! Much appreciated.

So, 1 down, and 4 apps to go before complete compatibility with Big Sur. The ones I have left are Onyx, SuperDuper!, Thunderbird, and Tech Tool Pro. Am expecting Tech Tool Pro to be the last one, probably in January. By that time, at least V11.2 of Big Sur will be out, and maybe V11.3.

Just wanted to add an item about (now ancient I guess) Ableton Live 8.

You'll need the 64-bit version, the 32-bit app will obviously not work. As with Catalina, this also means that the ReWire plugin (which is still 32-bit) will still be broken, due to the lack of 32-bit app support.

Wanted to post here to cover performance on an M1 mac too; Live 8 still works!

On occasion will output small audible glitches, which settles down after about 60 seconds or so if playing simple loops live (like the demo file), however that could make it a non-starter for some.

On M1, I found that after the first launch, Live would refuse to open. Looking at the logs this seems to be related to the 32-bit ReWire and Rex plugins, so I deleted them from Ableton\ Live\ 8.app/Contents/Resources (ReWire-Mach-O and REX-Mach-O folders). Live will complain on launch that the app is broken, but will still launch!

When I open a video file in VLC it plays well in windowed mode. In fullscreen the colors get distorted and highlights are blown out.

Anyone else experiencing this issue? Anyone an idea how to fix it?
That is not very encouraging, as I rely on VLC for viewing movies and TV series. Wonder if either VLC will be modified for this, or if V11.1 of Big Sur will resolve this issue.

I just tried it on my 27" 2015 iMac. No problems in windowed or fullscreen mode. But, to save space, and because these files are really to be displayed on an older TV, I usually only have 720p files.
What resolution file are you having problems with?
Do lower resolution files work?

PS, I just tried a couple of 1080p files, including H.264 and H.265, with no problems.
And now a 2160 H.256 file, worked fine.

Also, what version of VLC are you running? I am running 3.0.11.1 (latest).

Adobe AI and PS cause Big Sur on M1 to freeze randomly. If i don't launch any Adobe app everything works perfect.

Still not loading for me. The Mac mini M1 has a different graphic card and the MacBook Air user wasn’t on the beta, so I’m still saying:

Diablo 3 doesn’t work on a MBA with M1 chip under Big Sur Beta 11.1.

Downloaded Beta 2 and Diablo 3 is now loading and everything.
