Does anyone know where the folder is located with the config file to manually change the resolution (Downloaded from steam)?

I updated and still not working

(the previous directions are not working for me)

You've posted this already, and I have said that you shouldn't need to hack the config file any more as the higher res options were put in by Aspyr in the last update.
However, are you saying that you don't have the file Users/(user name)/Library/Application Support/Bioshock Infinite/XGame/Config/XUserOptions.ini?
I use the MAS version and the config file is at a different location, but all my other Steam games use a similar path as above, so it should be there.
Just another thing, can you see the user library folder? It is hidden by default. Either select it from the Go menu in finder while holding down the option key, or make it permanently visible by selecting Show Library Folder in View Options in Finder

I can't install it. After downloading the huge 29GB file, it gives an error and asks me to download it again. I tried 3 times already. It takes me 5 hours to download, I am getting tired. It happened after the new update.

The Mac App Store error correction on large downloads can be unreliable at times, I don't know about BioShock Infinite as this is from Aspyr but we have seen similar issues with large Feral games from time to time. Usually Apple fix the issue with their store pretty quickly when it happens.

We find that deleting any copies of the game you are installing, rebooting (this is important) and starting again helps "reset" the AppStore and reduce errors.

I tried to use a Playstation 3 controller, but the screen button's icons are from the XBOX controller.. How do I change it?

Will we ever see an update beyond "normal" graphics?

I believe the graphics settings visible are dependant on your Mac. If you have a Mac with a lower end card like a HD4000 then your Mac is not powerful enough to play on higher settings.

What settings are you using, your card's specs are similar to my 5870.

5xxx and 6xxx use different drivers, just because one card runs great it does not mean another similar card will too.

Hmmm, interesting. I wonder what Mac card will show the higher settings like 'Ultra'. My 6970M 1Gb shows only 'Normal'.

My 2013 iMac with GF 780M shows "High" as the max graphics setting. Is there an Ultra?

No "Ultra" yet. First we wanted to put the resolutions in which was the biggest hurdle as the games performance is very resolution dependent. There is very little difference between "High" and "Ultra" but it is still a goal we are pursuing.

Is there a way to change the XBOX button icons to the PS3 ones while using the PS3 controller?

No. The game was written natively for the Mac using the PC code base (not the PS3). Therefor the only art asset in the original code will be the Xbox for Windows controller.

Bioshock Infinite porting team, should we expect the 10.9.1 to improve game frame rates?

The 7950 bug is still there and currently is sitting with Apple/AMD for a fix.

We are done with our 10.9.1 sweeps on all of our products and see no performance gain or loss.

Same here, usually the bigger updates to graphics come in the x.x.2 update. That's just based on history and no insider knowledge :)

I got Bioshock Infinite quite late (yesterday during a Steam sale), and am having quite a fun time with it. I've found a balance between graphical goodness and smoothness that I'm quite pleased with.

Granted, my iMac is the 21.5" late 2012 model with the 512 MB nVidia 650M, so it only gives me option to run the game with normal detail settings. I have tried running it at 1920x1080 and for the first hour or so of wandering around Columbia, it was smooth and gorgeous. It only got choppy when several enemies in wide open spots onscreen attacking me.

Right now, one notch down from 1080p seems to be the sweet spot for me, so much so that I feel embarrassed for being on the critical side towards Aspyr's port.

I'm a little confused by the fact that there's a 'high' option for the graphics but when you switch to 'custom' there is no option higher than 'normal'? I'm particularly keen to bump up the texture quality. Also, there's no resolution higher than 1440x900 on my Late 2013 rMBP (with 2GB 750m).

Also late 13 MBP with GT 750M here. Can't select any resolution higber than 1280x or 1440x (16:9, 16:10)

10.9.1 Mavericks
