On the other side, if the percentage of units affected is small, then the current approach by Apple could be a reasonable one.

I believe that the most 10,5 devices from 2017 got this issue. The question is how many user realize this? In the most cases you can see it only with white backgrounds. The white spot it most on the same place. This only can be design failure. I don't know what is the reason, maybe a chip on this location or maybe screen failure from beginning what's growing. I think there will be come more users in time with this issues. And as long this issue is present, i don't want to buy a new device that got a lifetime from a year.

It's bound to happen, the question is when?

It would help if MacRumors covered this issue on the front page...

Need more people to check their 10.5” iPad Pro screens and report back here. The screen issues with this one and the 11/12.9 bending and screen lighting up when you press it with a little force doesn’t bode well for quality control.

Not only that, but it's also hard to see when the screen is dirty... when I checked my wife's 10.5 for this issue a few weeks ago, it was so full of smudges that I literally could not tell whether or not it had the white spot until after I cleaned it. I tend to keep mine clean, so the white spot was readily apparent.

Bought mine November of last year and I don't have this problem (at least not yet).

Add me to the list of iPad Pro 10.5’s experiencing the issue. Out of warranty and the issue appears to have presented in the past few weeks. Anyone have any positive experience getting anywhere with this repair/replacement?

Right, but i am not the first owner of the device. Because of this it don't. I was at Apple in Cologne and they told me that.

I don’t believe that is true. The warranty applies to the product itself, regardless if you were the original buyer or not. It is the retailer who must honour it though which in this case sounds like Apple. Unless there is a German law that trumps the EU 2 year warranty, I would go back and ask for this to be escalated.

In Germany Apple gives 1 Year warranty. The following Year Apple gives voluntary warranty.
And this only for the first owner of the device.

Good lord that top left looks jaundice-y

Night shift on and the angle I took to get the picture to show the white spot is why you are seeing that in the corner.

Anyone attempt to bring this to a YouTube presence like unboxtherapy or the like for more exposure?

I also had the bright spot on my iPad Pro 10.5. Sad and dissapointed with this. As a student, I got this iPad from my father as a gift, never expect this would happen later after the warranty has ended.

Btw, I searched this issue on YouTube and found only these two videos that come up with this issue:

Up and share these videos on YouTube guys! Like, link, and send them to the fancy tech YouTubers like MKBHD, Dave D2D, Jonathan Morrison, or Lew from Unbox Therapy. May they respond and help us to forward this issue to Apple as soon as possible. May God always help us.

What does this spot look like when it's not a white background? Is it something noticeable when watching movies, etc? I have a new 10.5 and haven't had this issue yet and hopefully won't, but if it's just limited to a bright spot on a white background it probably won't even bother me that much although I'll certainly replace it if I can.

Does the spot get bigger? What about on a black background is it lighter in that area?
