Obviously.Yes. It's pretty simple. If you need to ask for the solution, you won't understand it anyway.
It's that type of calculation. Either you get it, or you don't.
Thank you for saving all of us simpletons from such rigorous mental fatigue.

Won't help. Everybody at Apple is aware of this issue. It happens to 100% of iPad Pro 10.5 pieces within 3-15 months. Apple doesn't care.
It's not more effective, but it is certainly the best way for an individual customer to respond to the issue.Probably more effective to drop a courteous but informative line to tcook@apple.com, and then, drop him another when you vote with your wallet by purchasing a non-Apple replacement.
I’m sorry, but that cannot be correct. For reasons we’re too stupid to understand, we’ve been informed that, in fact, 100% of these iPads have this issue. My anectdotal data is that the four ~2 year old 10,5” pros that I know of in my friend circles have no bright spots. As a owner of one naturally this thread scares me still but hey we’ll see. My 10,5 is brand new (or well, manufactured oct 2018) so I’ll revisit/necro this thread in 2021 and let you know!
(as far as I’m aware Apple doesn’t offer AC+ anymore for this model, right? Asking for a friend?)
But really we’re not going to ever know the true statistics. Regardless if it’s a 0,1% issue or 100% issue they should offer a replacement program.I’m sorry, but that cannot be correct. Thank you for your time. ?

Apple doesn’t sell 10.5 iPP. It was discontinued. Suspiciously soon after release come to think of it ?Applecare+ isn’t discontinued just because Apple doesnt sell brand new 10.5 Pros. You can still buy AppleCare+.

It was discontinued almost 2 years after release. Apple stopped selling it when the Air 3 was released which is a very similar machine. There is nothing suspicious about that. The iPhone X was discontinued after 1 year for similar reasons. They don’t want an older product to cannibalize the sales of newer models that don’t offer much over the old.Apple doesn’t sell 10.5 iPP. It was discontinued. Makes sense. Thank you for clarifying, I had mistakenly figured it was discontinued after only a year. My bad ?It was discontinued almost 2 years after release. According to their AC+ support page for ipad they don’t list the 10.5 pro as eligible for AC+ But I’m not sure if it’s an accidental omission or something. Mine was apparently started once in january 2018 so I don’t get the in-OS AC+ prompt because of that probably, and have to bring proof-of purchase by phone or an apple store to reset the warranty period (the ipad is telling me this, though it’s not clarifying if it will bring up the AC+ offering after that or just refresh the limited warranty date in “about.).Applecare+ isn’t discontinued just because Apple doesnt sell brand new 10.5 Pros. You can still buy AppleCare+.
Until it expires....which it did on my 10.5".Just buy Apple Care along with the tablet. Only way forward for new iPads.
I showed it at 4 different Apple Stores. Called Apple Support multiple times. I was extremely polite the first couple of times but no dice. I think if it was sl;ightly out of warranty like 14 months or so they would have paid attention to me but since its over 2 years old they don't give a ****.
My iPad Air 2 is 5 years old and has a perfect screen. So does my Nexus 7. This is extremely shocking for a tablet which cost me more than the combined price of both those tablets.
If you could get a lawyer on your side who is willing to work for a part of the settlement money, might cost you nothing or at least close to nothing.
What ignorance? I paid $1000 for a tablet which is rendered almost unusable on white backgrounds after 2 years and when I called Apple, they refused to replace simple as that. If I have to use special code words or behave in a certain manner to get a replacement that says more about that company’s culture than about me. I am the one who paid them money. Why should the onus be on me to kowtow to them?So you say, I personally call BS on that Having dealt with Apple numerous times. Perhaps you’ve got the same attitude problem in person in which case you can’t blame any self respecting human from leaving you to suffer In your own ignorance - I can’t know for sure, but it wouldn’t surprise me..

Come on, don’t lower yourself to the standard of working with a lawyer ;-)
It’s pretty presumptuous of you to think Apple has taken any steps to prevent this from happening to future 10.5” screens. As much as I can agree with the sentiment here. Especially with regard to not being aggressive, bossy etc. I do however think it reads like a we are to prepare & deliver a performance when visiting an apple store. I got nervous just reading it ?
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to be able to pull it off but I’m sure they’d know I’d rehearsed some. I’d crumble
The annoying part is that it “is” a defect that is clearly something that is outwith user control. Apple’s stance seems to be deny & ignore. They must be aware of it because they have actively taken steps to have it not reoccurring on subsequent displays. It’s infuriating they get away with selling faulty hardware, they learn/grow from our misfortune, they address its pitfalls/limitations on future hardware, again, thanks to the unfortunate owners of previous faulty hardware..But they completely ignore those who paid full cost for “They’re” original mistake..why are they not sorry or understanding to this?
It’s annoying that they have learned and implemented fixes from our suffering for future buyers BUT left users with the faulty design/hardware high & dry. That’s not cool.
I feel the correct resolution to this would be for apple to quietly remove affected (bright spotting) iPads from circulation, to have a no quibble replacement process in place for anyone who feels the issue is enough to warrant a trip to the Apple store.
Presumptive and probable. You disagree? It’s pretty presumptuous of you to think Apple has taken any steps to prevent this from happening to future 10.5” screens.
If you don't have good arguments for buying a "Pro" device, you probably don't need it.I do not know what to buy between ipad pro 2017 or ipad air 3, my use will be especially for taking notes with the pencil, trying the air in apple store I notice pencil delay when writing about the pro, on the other hand the pro scares me the famous White Point. Any suggestions for my doubt thank you. Being new I will have 2 years warranty Spain.
