Darn! I wanted to going to buy one of the 10.5” iPad pros for my job as my mobile work device... is this defect super widespread and is there a higher chance of getting a light-spot if I bought a 10.5”?

If you are in a country with AppleCare+, you should be able to replace it if the issue occurs, as long as you pay each month. (It’s up to you to decide if it is worth the risk.)Darn! I had the white spot issue on my first two iPP 10.5. Apple replaced them as I had Apple Care. My third is now two years old and doesn’t have the spot (yet). I keep looking for it, like I’m expecting to get it but yet my screen is great and my battery is holding up well too.
how long ago was this? im surprised apple still stocks refurb ipad pro 10.5s
What products do you buy now? Switching from Apple is a major step, or it would be for me.
As more and more days pass by, I think we get farther and farther from starting a possible lawsuit.if only there was a class action lawsuit to bring this to apple's attention
Well apple issued a recall for the retina macbook pros years after their release due to the staingate/laminated display issue surfacing after years of use. hopefully something similar will happen? As more and more days pass by, I think we get farther and farther from starting a possible lawsuit.
Honestly, I don’t even know at this point.Well apple issued a recall for the retina macbook pros years after their release due to the staingate/laminated display issue surfacing after years of use. hopefully something similar will happen?

I doubt Apple would fix it if it has physical damage. They would say that the issue arose due to the physical damage. Can someone guide me with this doubt, what if i have a pro 10.5 and damage its back cover, crack it or whatever and later take it to the care for white spot problem, will they object to physical damage or is the white spot thing sufficient for them to replace the unit?
yeah that is quite possibleI doubt Apple would fix it if it has physical damage. They would say that the issue arose due to the physical damage.
As a former 10.5pro owner with the defect...stay away from this lemon product!Darn! I wanted to going to buy one of the 10.5” iPad pros for my job as my mobile work device... is this defect super widespread and is there a higher chance of getting a light-spot if I bought a 10.5”?

Hello guys, i recently bought this model new and i'm really worried about this bright spot.
what do you think causes the bright spot? i feel like it is heat related, based on ipad air 2019 teardown which apple shielded that part which bright spot appears!
somebody in here said that part is where wifi and airplan card is located, so if i dont use wifi it won't happen? i can use cellular instead of wifi , i'm not playing any games on it just in case that heat causes this problem
the only thing that i'm using this ipad for is watching movies (offline) and sometimes youtube.
i'm also not using apple pencil and smart keyboard.
hopefully with this usage pattern there will be no bright spot.
i dont want to sell it just in case anybody asked to buy new model instead!
So I believe that has less to do with the bright spot issue owners of the 10.5 faced. This looks to be a bad few pixels whereas the others here face a battery swelling a bit against the screen (I think).Ipad Pro 2020 after 5 months.
