Other CANADA iPhone (2018) XS/XS+/9 Pre-Orders and Dispatch Thread

Yeah I'm debating buying the watch now vs later too. For one thing, they raised the price of the bigger steel watch by $190 this year. Stainless series cellular on silicone series 3 was $799. And I hate that you have to get cellular with stainless, even though you can't use it on all networks or when you travel.

Another thing is that the aluminum ones are available on sale... there's best buy open box, Kijiji and US deals too.

I've bought a 38mm series 2 for my then gf for $200 usd at microcenter in Detroit

Bought a Series 2 42mm Nike edition for $420 cad at best buy open box

Bought a used series 3 42mm for $300 a few months ago on Kijiji and just sold it for $300

$1120 for steel with silicone bracelet (with tax) is getting too close to "real" watches, and comes with massive depreciation. It'll probably sell for like $500 max when series 5 comes out.

Pretty much. For what I need it for, $1,000+ is very rich. I'm not willing to pay more than $400-600 for the non-LTE version. If I can't find one for a good price then, i'll look at a series 3 aluminum which i'm sure could be found for cheap. With the vast improvement of series 4 i'm guessing the value of previous generations is going to tank pretty quick.

You can still get the Max 64 GB delivered Sept. 21. I just checked 30 seconds ago.
 
For those who preordered for in-store P/U; do you just walk in on launch day at your designated store and pick up? No waits and no lining up? I'll be doing that for the XR next month as UPS in my part of the country is very unreliable.
 
Yeah that's exactly how it works. I do that most years, because I am usually never able to get into the Apple Store at 3 am, and by the time I'm in, shipping times have slipped. I was able to order the phone for the 21st this year, but I may reserve the watch for ISPU. You get a timeslot and just go pick it up pretty much. I'm guessing you're not in Ontario otherwise I'd say stay away from SQ1, Yorkdale and Eaton Centre, they're insane. Especially Yorkdale!

I got a icarez screen protector coming on wednesday, not my favorite but i anything would do at this point since belkin is back ordered to october. Honestly I love belkin's touch, felt like a very premium glass, but they break too easily.

yup my apple gift card just got charged and status is prepare to ship, very excited. Not sure if i'll do a UPS hub pickup or just wait for it to be delivered.

Mine is the same, though I am still showing a Sep 24 delivery. It Maybe because I am in Newfoundland but I have had all other launch day iPhones on the first day when I have gotten the order in right away.

Depending on how far by Canada Post standards it may quote a longer delivery based on how “rural” the location is, however given that they hold shipments until release it is likely you’ll get in on day one. Hope that makes sense?

I’m in St. John’s so certainly not a rural thing.

The idea itself my still be correct. We shall see
 
My whole order is preparing to ship for delivery sept 21 except for the blue silicone case. I’ve ordered a 44 mm silver aluminum series 4 watch (my first  watch), a gold and a silver 256 g iPhone Xs Max and a nectarine slicone case.
 
I’m jealous of your tracking numbers. I got mine through TELUS, so I have to wait on them to give it to me.. which probably won’t happen until the 20th.
