Last few years, it seems that a lot is shipped from China to a central hub then individually shipped. So, when you get a tracking number it likely will come from somewhere like Ontario
I'm holding off on selling my 7+, I want to see if I like the Max enough to feel like it is worth the 2k. I generally upgrade every year and go through the same process during the 2 week return period, if I think the upgrade makes enough of a difference I keep it.The excitement has worn off a bit, i just can't wait for Friday to have it in my hand. I sold my 7+ yesterday and am using a 6s i had lying around; i actually hate this phone. I randomly lose service and have to do a hard reset to get it back, it's kind of slow opening apps especially if i have a lot going at once, the form factor is really thin and its so slippery, i've dropped it 4 times already...Not to mention the LCD screen is just way too small and inferior to what's out right now.
I see people saying that they'll keep their 6,6s, 7 for another year rather than upgrading, but i think if they actually used the new phones and felt how much better the experience was, they wouldn't be so willing to stick with their current device.

This year feels like the 6S, except for twice the cost and half the new features![]()

I found 4S and especially the 5S to be good upgrade years. After this current release I've been mulling over the feasibility of moving from the Apple ecosystem. The Note 9 seems like quite an attractive offer when you compare the price and features to the Max.I was going to get the Max but I too will hold off ... will use my 7 plus for another year. I have never purchased an iPhone in the “S” year.

I do already have a Windows desktop so making the swap to a Windows laptop wouldn't be that much of a jump, however I'm unimpressed with the current non Apple smart watches. If Google were to release something comparable to the Series 4 I'd likely be willing to make the jump over, but I'm also quite heavily invested in the Google ecosystem (online products, work, assistant etc) so that may serve as a bridge.I’m too heavily invested in the Apple world. I did go over to the dark side when I briefly used the Google Nexus 5 but that didn’t last for more than 6 months lol.
I’ve had a UPS tracking number since early Sunday morning. It has now had its arrival scan in ZhengZhou. Next stop Anchorage.
What about those of us who chose in store pick-up? Does apple show any sort of transit info for those?
I've never actually pre-ordered an iphone before.
Not sure about iphones. I did pre-order some apple straps that showed "shipped or preparing shipment" status days before release.I've never done in-store pickup myself, but from past years I believe apple will send you an email or alert letting you know that your iPhone is going to be ready for pickup on the date you chose. maybe a day or 2 before launch day from what I remember
If you are running low you can get photos to keep low res copies on phone and originals in iCloud + unload unused apps if you're really in a pinch for space. Plus use stuff like Google Cloud, Dropbox etc for everything else.I ordered the XS 64GB and the Midnight Blue leather case to go with it. Upgrading from a 6s which is starting to show it’s age. Very excited to get the phone! Apple says delivery on the 24th (not sure why not the 21st since I ordered it right when the pre-orders began). I’ve been planning to upgrade to this years iPhone for quite a while now. Was originally aiming to get the 256GB model but seesh those prices. It’ll just mean that I have to be a bit more careful with managing my storage on the phone (my 64 GB 6s has about 7GB free currently).
I chose the Forest Green case (super excited since its my favourite colour!)If you are running low you can get photos to keep low res copies on phone and originals in iCloud + unload unused apps if you're really in a pinch for space. Midnight Blue is a great colour, thinking about getting it, but not sure how it will patina though. Forest Green is a new option this year (I think) and is also quite tempting
Hard to tell exactly online, but it seems like it might be similar to British Racing Green, in which case (ha) it might be an instant buy for me.I chose the Forest Green case (super excited since its my favourite colour!)
If you can pick it up at the hub, that’s best. Picking up at a store will cause a delay of a day.
