I want to buy a new leather case for my Air 2. Anyone tips? It has to be good quality. If there are no good cases atm, I will buy the original Air 2 case.

This is the combo I'm getting once the Tech21 cases for the Air 2 are out (Tech21 case + smart cover)

I had the Tech21 Impact Mesh case for my iPad Air, but I was disappointed with it.

The quality, fit and finish were all excellent, and I liked the look of the smokey version with my Space Grey Air, but it just didn’t feel good in the hand. The smooth surface made it difficult to grip and caused my hands to sweat. It also showed up fingerprints really easily.

I had one of their Impact Base cases for my previous iPads and, whilst it didn’t look as good, the textured finish made holding it feel far better.

I hope they make some improvements for the iPad Air 2 cases, but we may have to wait awhile as it took them several months to release cases for the original Air.

Same here. Although I refuse to buy the one from Apple. Way too expensive in terms of quality

I had ordered the roocase optigon for the air 2 when that slickdeals coupon showed up, it was dirt cheap so I figured why not. Well the package came today, and when I opened it there was a note from the vendor saying that the optigon model was out of stock, and instead they gave me the roocase origami for the air 2 at no extra charge. I'm very happy with this case and cover, it fits perfectly, the cover is in fact smart with magnets and they work just fine with the air 2 when opening and closing. Considering I paid only $8 for this thing, it's an absolute steal! It's on Amazon now for $30 - I guess I just got lucky!

I know some people had posted earlier that this manufacturer had issues with the Smart Cover but they have this fixed now, this case is perfect and I definitely recommend it.

Let me know how this case turns out please! I feel the same way about the apple case too

I've had it for a couple days now and am very satisfied with it. All the option for stands is great, I actually use the typing setup a lot more than I thought I would. The value with the coupon is excellent, full price is fair but not near the deal. I'd happily buy another.

I have he iPad Air 1 version. It is crap in my opinion. It feels very cheap. I think that person works for Bes data.

The people at Amazon say the same thing... the reviewers must work for Besdata... I cancelled LOL...

My skin doesn't come in until tomorrow. I have a jelly case that was for my Air1 on it now. It's really a tight fit. I hope your Smart Cover fits in it. If it does, I doubt there will be any wiggle room.

Enjoy

An update on this, the sleeve works perfectly with the Smart Cover on it. The magnet latches just fine over the top, and the fit is snug but I never feel like I'm jamming it in.

I'm really loving this setup. It's light as hell, keeps the iPad from getting scratched, and the Smart Cover magnetically latches onto the back of the iPad when it's open. I'm never going back to a full body case now.

I was wondering if any of you guys had tried the CaseCrown Bold Standby Pro Case before? It was out for the iPad Air and the Air 2 version comes out very soon (link below). Thinking about finally upgrading from my 1st gen crashpad err iPad to the iPad Air 2 and I really don't see any great cases out locally so I started browsing on amazon and I really like the look of the red CaseCrown case with the white iPad. Just curious to know if its any good will last a long time and if the "corner protection" really means much.

I've just got the original apple cover on my old 1st gen iPad and its still scratch free so I guess my demands aren't that great but a little bit of scratch and drop protection would be nice. :D

Definitely my favorite case of all time - it's usually cheaper on amazon so I asked them if they had any promo codes and they gave: 40off

Ordered mine today!

Have you received it yet....pics? I ordered the same, just from Amazon. Returning it if I don't like it should very easy with Amazon.

awesome! thank you very much for your input! i defiantly will use the stands for taking notes in class I'm about to order

I just got a carrying case for mine. 10 inches with a zipper and a handle. Not bad for less than $10.

I just ordered one. Will be here tomorrow. Did you order one? Anyone else? Thoughts?

I haven't ordered one yet. Please let us know your thoughts once you receive it!

I have one on now. On my previous iPads I've only used the smart cover so the case does make the iPad feel heavier than I'm used to (reminds me of the weight of my iPad 2). The volume buttons are a little difficult to get to. Other than that the case feels like a good, solid case.

After returning the Smart Case, bought the Fintie for 8.99+ shipping on Amazon. Makes the iPad a lot heavier due to the inner plastic shell, but I like the overall look. The magnets aren't as strong as the smart case but can't complain at the price point.

I ordered the red one through Amazon, received a shipping notice on 10/31, with a delivery date on NLT 11/7. Was notified on 11/4 that they weren't getting the red and blue versions from the manufacturer until 11/11, but if I wanted the black, they could ship that right away. Well, if I wanted the black, I would have ordered the black...

I told them I would stick with the red, if they could guarantee I received it NLT 11/13, as I am leaving on vaykay 11/14. If they couldn't, I would take the black, but wanted it NLT 11/7, which was when they originally promised the red. That seemed fair. And I asked them why I received a shipped notice on 10/31, if they didn't have anything to ship?

The response was that the shipping notice went out when they printed a label, and that they could get me the black case by 11/13. Evidently, no one knows how to read at Devicewear... I told them if they were shipping black, it needed to be here tomorrow, and they replied by saying they would not do that, but would cancel the order. I told them cool, and that they probably shouldn't print shipping labels for orders they couldn't fill.

I'll be waiting for this one to be available:

Does it make it that much heavier?
