Very nice job Veit. Since you put up all the money, you should get that reward after we finish with the Redbrands.

I agree that we should keep the prisoner with us.

Whatever. Any thoughts on our hostage? Should we still keep him around?

Let's keep moving before it's too late to get the rapier.

Let's keep moving before it's too late to get the rapier.

I think we should stick with our previous plan.

1) Head to the inn stopping to get a rapier on the way. Get two rooms for the night and stash the prisoner there.

2) Have some ales and a meal while we get a short rest. We can discuss things there.

What about visiting that temple? I really think that we should head over to that Mansion tomorrow morning - especially after our latest encounter with those ruffians. For now we should have an element of surprise on our side but just a bit later and the Redbrands will know that somethings up.

Grista smiles. "Glad at least one of you has a reasonable head on his shoulders. I'll make sure those bodies disappear and no word reaches Tresendar Manor."

Grista nods to the patrons behind her, and heads back into the tavern. "Unless you dimwits let the alive one talk, that is. Not my problem," she says as the doors swing shut behind her.

As the patrons grab the bodies and drag them behind the tavern, you start to walk back towards the center of town. You see that the sun is beginning to descend, indicating that the day is nearing its end.

As you re-enter the Lionshield Coster, Linene immediately spots the supplies you took from the Redbrands.

"Those...! What have you done?"

"Oh ffs!" < I didn't really say this, instead I'll reply:

"Don't worry...we were ... rather forced to 'exchange' some stuff. Makes for a good disguise, don't you think? But we were thinking it still lacks something..something like a shiny rapier. You sell those?

Maybe our thoughtless friend over here also needs a coat, any coat, as well so that he doesn't get confused with the wrong kind of people. Could be rugged and full of holes for all I care."

"If you affiliate yourself with those ruffians, I will not deal with you. Out!"

The temple will not take long (it's right next to the inn). I also think it's very important to find out about the secret passage from the halfling farmer.

Say to Linene: There are now five less Redbrands including this one who is our prisoner. We wish to keep him out of sight until we finish off Glastaff and the rest of the ruffians. Many people in town have had enough of the Redbrands. I hope you agree with us that the Redbrands have to go.

Linene narrows her eyes. "So those supplies are from the Redbrands that you have... relieved from their 'obligations'?"

She looks at the prisoner. "He is not welcome here, and I will not offer assistance in his disposal in any way. However, I do appreciate the return of the supplies that was 'taken' from me by the Redbrands. I remember you expressed a desire for a rapier. I will take the three studded leather armors and the five shortswords for a rapier and 100 gold pieces."

We do not require assistance with this prisoner and your offer sounds good. Let me check with the rest of the group.

To the group (@Scepticalscribe, @Moyank24, @Huntn, and @twietee) : Unless anyone disagrees, I think we should accept her offer.

Note: Hopp'n on a plane tomorrow. Replies may be sparse from here on out, but I'll try to check in at least once a day.

Bifur CU Oval.sm4.png Fine by me. I'm curious Veit, were you really going to give her 25g to clean up our mess, until she made the counter offer? Actually the counter offer is not so bad. So where did our elf and halfling (@Scepticalscribe, @Moyank24) make off to?

Let's do it then! We can't hold a plenum on every tiny question otherwise we'll never proceed to the fun parts! This game is already crumbling enough as is.

Only my beard knows. Old dwarven saying. But I did pick up my handaxes in advance you know..While Bart looks a bit absent minded, Portia, while extremely shy up to the point where one could get the impression she's mute, always could be counted on when necessary.

Similar to our WW games, a lack of participation takes away from the game. I'm sure @ravenvii is also not really happy about the way the game is going.

Perhaps when you leave in December (I don't want you to go :) ), we can also change out anyone who doesn't really wish to play. I'm sure some people didn't realize what they were getting into.

@ravenvii, take the deal, give Veit 25 GP to repay the 25 GP he had to pay, and put the 75 GP into the party treasury.

Then we head to the inn and get a couple of rooms.
As you enter the familiar inn, the warmth of the , the image of Linene's suspicious face as she hands you the gold lingers in your mind. You wish you had the words to explain, but you know there is nothing that can be done about it. Perhaps once the Redbrand threat is dealt with will she realize the truth.

Nonetheless... "Wha -- what are you doing! You can't just come in here with -- that's even worse! A hostage! What would become of the inn if the Redbrands find out?!" the panicked cries of the innkeeper chases your thoughts away.

What now?

@Plutonius @Moyank24 @Scepticalscribe @twietee @Don't panic @Huntn

*whispers* "Pssh..keep calm!" *grabs a coin and lets it flip into the air*

"Don't worry, we are on our way to solve the Redbrand issue - but we can't let this fella here walk the streets before we did so - he's our entrance passage to Tresnador Manor. *winks* Unfortunately, and you know it too, handing him over to the authorities is no option ... yet.

So for all I care you could look the other way, don't let anybody into the stable for one brief night and rise and shine tomorrow morning as usual with a clear conscience - and two more gold coins in your pocket. We would also like to rent two rooms for this night. We will pay in advance of course because we will be gone first thing in the morning.

*catches coin again*

"Does that sound reasonable to you?"

Yes, I think to pay my respects would be a good idea.

Moreover, a conversation with the Good Sister might be interesting, and might yield some useful information, as well.

@ravenvii, Syllin (@Scepticalscribe) and myself will head next door to the shrine to talk with the sister while Veit gets us the rooms. I'm heading along for protection and would appreciate it if Syllin does the talking :).

I'm on the road now till the beginning of next week. I'm going to wait to input until there is an indication we have a full quorum of players. In the mean time you have my blessing for whatever plan is decided upon.
