Claus turned towards the goblin as it raced towards Veit. As Veit revived Portia and rushed to Syllin, Claus raised his longbow, aiming at the goblin's back. He focused, steadied his aim, and fired --
*** CHECK ***
Since the goblin's back is turned, Claus has advantage, so:
Claus: 2 + 7 = 9 - fail
Claus: 10 + 7 = 17 - success
Claus succeeds at hitting the goblin for...
Claus: 3 + 5 = 8
... damage, killing the goblin on the spot.

-- and aimed true, the arrowing flying through the air and piercing the back of the goblin's head. The goblin took one step forward, then dropped to his knees, and finally fell to the ground before Portia.
"is -- is that all of them?" Belaver said timidly from beneath the wagon. The escort said nothing. Trying not to vomit at the sight of the brain matter seeping out of the dead goblin a few feet away, Belaver slowly crawled out from under the wagon. Suddenly, everything went black.
Veit started as an arrow suddenly appeared flying inches from his face --
*** CHECK ***
Belaver is a commoner, so a 10 is required to hit him:
Goblin: 4 - 1 + 9 = 13
It's a hit, and the commoner only have 4 hp, so the arrow kills him taking 5 hp.

-- buries itself in Belaver's face, killing him. The last goblin emerged from behind a tree a few feet away from Veit, screamed a shrill warcry, and ran as fast as its feet can carry it up the trail, blowing past Bartolomeus and Claus, scampering over the dead horses before he could react.

@Moyank24 you're up. The goblin is attempting to flee. You can either let it go and end the battle, or attempt to attack it. It is approximately 30 feet away, slightly past Bartolomeo, Claus and the dead horses and is within reach of your shortbow. You can also catch up on foot if you like. The wagon, Veit and Syllin are behind you.
