Perhaps that ominous rumbling sound is the unwelcome noise of rocks being rolled towards us……..

@ravenvii While I climb up I will also take a look at either side if some mad goblin tries to cut off the bridge!

@Plutonius beat me to it

That sounds a most useful course of action.
[doublepost=1458140836][/doublepost]And, as for the very thought of what may constitute - (what an unpleasant and deeply unattractive image) 'mad' goblins, I think that we might be facing 'mad' - as in clinically insane - goblins, as well as 'mad' as in the sense of 'splenetically enraged' goblins…….

the only thing we can say for now, is that there cannot be goblins on the bridge yet (unless they are invisible), otherwise we would see them. same for the bottom of the stream.
but they had a turn, so they are in play somehow.
however, since we don't see them, we cannot fight them atm

right now we have the Count and Portia on top, with Claus hanging from one of the two ropes half way, so the other rope is available for climbing.
if Veit makes it to the top, i think that Master fletcher's suggestion that syllin ties her up and we pull her to the top from above, is not bad, since I am next with nothing obvious to do (yet).
one possibility is that she tries to climb normally, if she succeeds she uses her action as a second move to get on top. if she fails se can tie herself as an action, so i can start pulling her up

Sounds like a good plan. Let us try to 'make it so'.

You follow Portia up the rope --

*** CHECK ***
You have better athletics, so we'll use that. You have +4, so:

Veit: 10
Veit: 19

You make it to the bridge, no problem.
*** CHECK ***

-- and meet Count Bartholomeus and Portia on the bridge.

>>> @Scepticalscribe you're next!

Hey, what did I see when looking at the two entrances at each end of the bridge? :D

Very well then, I (will attempt to) make it so.
You tie the end of the free rope around your waist. Ensuring that it is secure --

*** CHECK ***
To ensure that it's secure, you use your survival skills (+1) plus a 5 DC roll:

Syllin: 4
*** CHECK ***

-- and confirm that it is. You then begin to climb --

*** CHECK ***
Your acrobatics is better than your athletics, so we'll use that. +2 plus a 10 DC roll:

Syllin: 13
*** CHECK ***

-- and catch up with Claus approximately five feet below the bridge's ledge. Your end of the rope now loops below you and back to your waist as you swing gently.

>>> @Don't panic, what do you do?

Run to the nearest side entrance (should be west imho)! All the others should get a (really) firm grip at the rail.. :D

i take hold of the rope syllin is tied to and attempt to haul her all the way up to the bridge
Since Syllin is so close to the bridge's ledge, the pull was relatively easy. You haul the elf onto the bridge. However, the rope is no longer balanced at both ends, and it shifted. Claus' end of the rope begins to slide down, taking Claus with it. Gravity brought Claus back to the ground, the rope pooling around his feet.

>>> @Moyank24 you're up!

Does this mean I can't climb up the rope?
