@ravenvii, please advise the status of this adventure, to be resumed or concluded. If and when it might revive, please send out notices to participants via @ -member notice. Thanks!

I don't think it has concluded; I just think that @ravenvii has other things on his mind that require his attention. For now, I would class it as (temporarily) suspended.

I figure that with the amount of beer Veit can probably drink, we are running out of money about now :).

I think in this world both time and available finances may come under the heading of 'somewhat elastic'...

Imagine a thirsty Bavarian Dwarf. :D

I know that drinking won't bring back my poor cousin but what else is there to do?

The legendary capacity and bottomless thirst of Dwarves - above all Bavarian Dwarves - for the products of both grape and grain - are famous throughout the known world.

Hey guys.

First of all, I want to apologize for leaving you guys hanging; I really should've posted, even just to tell you guys that I won't be around for a bit longer than expected. I have a lot of things going on. To summarize: I went to the ER (boo!) but it wasn't serious (yay!); I graduated (yay!); but haven't yet been able to find a job (boo!). To avoid oversharing, let's just say I had to figure things out living-wise for the short term while I work on getting work.

Things have somewhat stabilized -- I've figured things out for the next three months or so where I'll be fine in the worst case scenario.

So in between job searching, I now have some time on my hands.

If you guys (forgive me and) are up to getting the game going again, I'm game :)

Great to hear all is well! Now get me into the story when you start it again!! :D

Well, that's a yay mostly, no? At least in the important parts.

As for the game, I gotta be honest that it was really fun and I utterly enjoyed it - but I totally underestimated that it would be super time consuming to come up with all these stories / interactions (..in English..) so I partly feel bad because I couldn't/wouldn't participate that much when running around in Phandelvia, socializing.

Fighting goblins, smoking the pipe and mocking Pluto is another thing though. :)

So, if the others are fine with me being sometimes more backgroundish - great, I'm happy to continue our journey. If not, no biggie and Huntn could just replace me.

Great to hear from you and I am delighted to learn that you are well. Sorry to see that you have spent some time in ER, but warm congratulations on graduating.

Anyway, yes, very good that you are back, in Phandelvar, Phandalin, Real Life, and elsewhere. Good luck wth the job hunting.

No. Stay with the party,

Personally, I wish for you to remain a member of our party - dwarves of your calibre bring a certain flair and je ne said quoi something to the proceedings.

I'd prefer you stay and add me. :D

you surely meant of your stature..... ;)
but i can't but agree with you.
no reason to leave and we can in fact do without the snoring and the smelly feet now and then.

as far the adventure, i am glad we are back on, and even more glad ravenvii is alive and kicking, and a now more educated fellow.
congratulations on your graduation!
i never doubted you could make it through the challenges of middle school! :D
if it is not too much prying in your real life, what did you graduate in?

speaking of real life, i have a big grant due next week so i will be virtually non existent until then. after that i can start being my obnoxious self again.

Well, I did go to school in order to get a job, so... :)

Computer science.

So, to get our heads back into Phandalin:

It is early-ish morning. You guys are just outside of the inn, with the cart Claus made, with all your stuff. The one-legged knight is nowhere to be seen. You intend to take said cart to Barthen's Provisions to see if he would buy anything, despite the fact that the wagon you were supposed to deliver to him has been delivered to wagon-heaven instead.

Syllin needs to pick spells, since she had a good sleep last night. And has some questions for me. I couldn't find the questions, except for one: assume that you have enough magic-y stuff to cast all level one spells, so yes, you have that pearl thingy.

If there's more questions, please do ask! Once Syllin picks the spells, we'll get started again.

@Scepticalscribe

Just wanted to let you guys know I'm going out of town until Thursday.

We're waiting for @Scepticalscribe's response re: the above... just saying, in case!

I have had a very bad cold/flu for the last eight-ten days - my head feels like cotton wool; I will need to re-read some of the thread, - to refresh myself - and remind myself of spells that I might be able to use, and who I may wish to seek out to have a meaningful conversation with in this urban settlement, before proceeding any further.

Fair enough: I'll be back here before Thursday, with spells and (hopefully) a re-wired head.

No problem, see you all on Thursday!

Feel better soon!

Cough (real and metaphorical - I still haven't fully shaken this thing off) I have to sort out my spells:

A refresher/reminder - I had all that stuff bookmarked, but seem to have mislaid it for now - of the spells available to me, - numbers and types, and cantrips, would be awfully helpful.

And @ravenvii has confirmed that I have that pearl 'thingy'.

The first page of this thread has the links to the character sheet, spell list, rules, etc.

I hope you start feeling better soon.

Thank you for your kind wishes.

Yes, I'll have to return to that (page 1, I had it book-marked ages ago).

I have had something akin to a flu/borderline pneumonia/exceptionally heavy cold for almost three weeks and am slowly getting back to myself. The week before last I felt absolutely ghastly.

Alright, I'll refresh myself with a re-read of page 1, and the attached links.

You need lots of medicinal brandy :).
